Mercy [Story of James Stacy]

Recommended Posts

It's night. He, who has a swollen kneecap and a badly bruised chest from the barrage of gunfire, collapses on the shoreline, feeling the waves lap at the back of His head.

He's glad the plate carrier stopped the AK bullets from tearing Him to pieces but He isn't happy that He lost all of His belongings. He slips on a damp t-shirt, some black cargo pants and some black wellies that smell like the sea. Freezing in the night, He jogs to the nearby town of Elektrozavodsk in hopes of finding warmer and drier clothing, and hopefully a weapon.

He makes it to Elektrozavodsk, not in the least bit exhausted by the short one-kilometer jog. It seems His prior life paid off. Food is plentiful in the Eketro houses- they are near untouched. He finds a somewhat-rusted crowbar sitting in a barn. He carries it with Him until He can find a better weapon.

He finds a man in Elektrozavodsk, wearing a nice, warm, dry leather jacket, probably from a biker gang. The jacket looks almost new, with a few scuffs on the shoulder pads, which seem to offer better protection than a normal leather jacket. He greets the man warmly. They sit around a water well and tell stories at a fire. He barters for the jacket. The man refuses, telling him the jacket has special meaning. It's clear He will not get the man's jacket.

They set off in to the black night, along the railroad tracks. The destination is uncertain. A chill strikes Him and it's very clear what He must do. He puts on His black baseball cap and ties a black bandana over His face. The man with the jacket turns to offer a word of advice about an upcoming town. He greets the advice with a hard crowbar strike to the jaw, knocking the man to the gravel beneath them. The man attempts to pull a revolver from the jacket and the revolver is knocked away by a crowbar swipe. The man attempts to crawl away. He walks after the man, crowbar in hand and grabs the man by the hair. He places the man's open mouth on the railroad tracks and slips the crowbar's rusty prongs under his top teeth. He buries a booted foot in to the back of the man's neck, causing a great strain on his jaw. The man begins to moan in a half-discomfort half-pleading-for-his-life kind of way. He will hear none of it. He is out of patience. He pushes His foot down, trying to touch the railroad track through the man's neck. He rips upward with the crowbar and the man's scream becomes a gargled choke as the two opposing forces seperate the lower jaw from the skull. The lower jaw stays pressed to the railroad track while the spine is broken and the skull is bent back over the boot. Blood spills from the man's demolished mouth. It reminds Him of black ink in the night. He drops the crowbar and slips the man's nice, warm, dry leather jacket, probably from a biker gang, on over His now-dry white t-shirt. He takes the revolver from the gravel and slips it in to his new leather jacket, which has a few scuffs on the shoulder pads.

James Stacy is happy and warm.

James Stacy is out of mercy.

Jesus Christ, what a twist. That was some brutal shit! I loved it!

I'd like to see more from this no-longer-cold, crowbar-wielding fiend.

Oh i'm sure you will! I plan to write more when i'm inspired by RP.

James Stacy has been my character for a month now and the change of heart, or lack thereof, sprang from a situation where Stacy got robbed and shot, but only after nearly beating his friend to death to save his own life.
