Detailed description of the events: I had the energized, hydrated and Healthy message.  I was full on gear.  Just wanting to figure out how I became another number in the list of the dead.

Not a thing, I was thinking a glitch of some kind. Some one mentioned just leave the report just in case it was a KOS. IT was realy just odd. But DayZ has its bugs.

Puma where exactly were you? You say you were looking over a railing, so i guess a second story perhaps? If you can be a little bit more descriptive on your location and what you were doing it may help us a bit.

Also we will leave this report open for 24 hours, based on what you have said so far it sounds like a glitch death.

Sure thing. I was in the factory, on the top floor of the cat walks where you first come out of the enetrnace. I had gone around the corner to the right and looked down to the larger landing just below. I think this is the third floor while still inside. I used the Q key to get a better view and let go of it. Is was about a second later that I got the message. I was debating if it was worth my time to go down the stairs to check it out. Basically I was just standing there from my perspective. I hadn't tried moving yet as I was deciding if I wanted to take the latter down or not.

After reading your post clarifying where and what you were doing, as well as talking to you in teamspeak, it is safe to say that you died from a glitch.

The catwalk that you were walking on is notorious for glitch killing people, even back in DayZ mod those catwalks were sketchy at best.

In the future definitely stay away from that area to avoid this sorta situation from happening again.
