I'm making this thread to put some ideas out there to the community that i have seen and i would like to build back up there are a couple that i would like to talk about there is one that i like more then the other's i have, A lot of people have done this idea and a lot of people have loved it in the past that's why i want to make this a big think and i would like to talk about it with people and see how they would like this and how it would bring to really good in game role play this idea  that i have will have its own thread with Graphic design and colours a list of people that will be there dates and place where it will be and a lot more. So the idea i have and like i said a lot of people have done this in game is a fight night or a fight club there will be prize's for the winner and will be put in Gold on the thread as the winner/ Champ of the fight club for the day or moth ect. i think this idea can go really far and i am putting this out there because i would to see how people would like to see it in game and also who would join in

schedule: When the really thread comes out there will be a up to date schedule on when the fights on going on and where they will take place

Pat had an event kinda just like this and it was incredibly fun. I would like to see this happening on a regular bases, I myself would love to host such thing, is just a don't have that much free time to get around preparing everything. But I will compete if I can.

I seriously had to read the opening post 3 times until I understood what you were saying. I'm not saying that my grammar is the greatest, but could you do a bit of editing. There are huge sentences and some of them keep repeating the same thing over and over.

So you are planning of making a fight night thread, where you can keep up with all the contestants and have a ranking of some sort? I think there has been some random warehouse fight clubs in the past, but I would like to see a proper ladder with the schedule for the fights. This way people could travel to the arena and cheer on their favorite fighter. Maybe we could establish a gambling system?

If the whole system is well executed and in good RP, I think this could be something great. I can imagine a warehouse lit up with chem lights, sounds of cheering and a voice of announcer echoing in a cold Chernarussian night.

I honestly have to say no to the entire idea in the way it is presented here in this thread (at least the way I think it's presented), and to the way it was presented by the Society of Alternative Entertainment. If there is to be events such as a "fight club" taking place in Dayzrp, it should happen and be completely organic and IC within a group itself. For instance, when I was running the town of Pinewood, I wanted to do something similar, but nothing panned out. What I planned to do, is maybe once a week or once every two weeks, have a hand to hand fight with each other (maybe pick people in the community who made mistakes that caused problems) and make a bracket of those chosen to participate, and have them fight. Another idea is to (once infected are back) have these people one on one fight with an infected. What I want to see is something less like this

and have something more like this

In the end, I think we as a community need to start being a bit more serious with how events such as these could possibly make a bit of sense. While a fight club is something that could really make sense in the zombie apocalypse, I just don't want to see it done with any whiff of OOC planning. I don't know, maybe I'm misunderstanding the OP, or maybe I'm just crazy, or maybe I'm right. I'll let you all choose.

I really don't see something like this being able to happen or function properly without OOC planning. You need participants for an event like this and the only way to get them is if people know about it. I know things can be more organic if they occur naturally but there are some things you need a little bit of OOC organization to accomplish. 

On the flip side these always seem cool when I read about them. You could host them in the new school buildings in the Gym, so you can line the spectators up on the benches.

I like the idea. Would be very entertaining. Perhaps this is something you could seek counsel from the EventMaster and LoreMasters to put together.

Absolutely would need to guard against OOC hate, and salty folks if they get beaten or feel things were somehow unfair. The gambling aspect is also interesting. Just need good planning and proactivity for potential problems.

Hey, if you can pull it off, I would love to be a fighter. I'm not the best at hand to hand, or heck PvP in general, but I think it would be a great experience to bring to the game.

As stated previously, Pats event was alot of fun. If you can gather enough people to host such a thing I can see it being amazing.

I think it's a great idea, if you feel strongly about trying to make it work then go for it! I just hope if it becomes an event based thing, with set times, I would be free at those times to attend. Wish you the best on this.
