Chernarus Front - Jabhat al-Chernayi

[mp3]http://img.dayzrp.com/mp3/upload/5639572a22a6b.mp3[/mp3]

أَعُوْذُ بِاللّٰهِ مِنَ الشَّ يْطٰنِ الرَّجِيْمِ - I seek refuge with God from Satan, the accursed...

"When the Plague of Decadence swept down upon the lands of al-Chernayi, one thing became clear to me: the Jihad goes way deeper than fighting the Kafirs and struggling against the temptations of life. All Muslims must unite, put aside their differences, help the weak and wield the mighty Sword of Islam to defend the word of Allah."

- Basir al-Siddiq

Deep in the mountains of Afghanistan live the Pashtun. The Pashtun people are based on dignity, tradition and independence.  In the winter of 1979 the Soviets invaded Afghanistan. Their decade long struggle to control the Afghan lands was futile, all Afghan brothers fought to send the Soviet beast back to Moscow.

On December 24, the day of the Soviet invasion, a boy was born in a Pashtun mountain village to the local Imam. His name was Basir, son of Abu. Shortly after his birth Abu left the village to join the Mujahideen in fighting against the communists. It only a year later that Imam Abu perished in the fight against the Soviets. Basir was raised by his uncle, a Mujahid like his father.

When the Americans came in 2001 it was clear what Basir should do. Together with his good friend Sayid they joined the insurgence. Only boys they were, but fight like lions they did. But not even lions could stop the American war machine. The two Mujahid accepted that their struggle was lost, even though pockets of resistance never stopped, and returned to their villages. But the many years of war had changed them. Life in the mountains bored them, there was no glory in herding goats. This was not serving the cause, this was not helping people, this was not pleasing Allah.

It was then, in 2013, that ISIS showed itself. The Caliphate made a quick rise and showed the evil West that Islam was truly alive. Basir and Sayid, unaware of the dark times ahead, traveled to Syria to join the Islamic State. It only took a few months before they both realized the extend of their mistake. The entire Caliphate was based on sin, Muslims were butchered, women were raped, there was no honour in this. Allah was not pleased.

When the news came of the crisis in Chernarus, of the horrible disease that turned people into rabid beasts, it became clear what was happening. All these acts of violence and tragedy were the result of the decadence of the world. The disease was clearly the Plague of Decadence, sent to punish the sinners and non-believers. The war in Syria was another punishment of decadence, the secularism of Assad and the sins of the Islamic State. A choice was made by Basir and Sayid, they would save the people of al-Chernayi to save the world.

When Syrian government troops made an assault onto their position the two men decided to run. They traveled east, into the lands of the Kurds, disguised as goat herders. As "refugees" they entered Turkey, even though it took weeks of waiting at the border. The sneaking over the Georgian border and the hard travels through the Caucasus were worse, but all hardships were endeared for the greater good.

Once the men arrived in South Zagoria they had nothing, yet the months of travel without funds had taught them how to survive. In the anarchy that reigned over the lands of Chernarus it was easy for the two men to adapt. Together the two men found like-minded Muslims, whom together had formed the United Islamic Front. Yet it was in only weeks that the group collapsed as members deserted and no unity was found.

But they never gave up, for they founded the Chernarus Front. The Islamic group that will protect and serve Chernarus. The Plague of Decadence will be swept away and Islam will find its rightful place amongst the religions of Chernarus. Now the true story begins.

r82Rbu2.jpg

Islam is a religion of peace, and thus the Chernarus Front is an organization of peace. We do not desire war but we recognize that the struggle is necessary to accomplish our goals. These goals are simple, we want to unite the Muslims of Chernarus and we want to bring peace and safety to the people of Chernarus. No one is our enemy, except the sinners and those most decadent.

[align=left]

  • Fight the Plague of Decadence and slay all Infected.
  • Unite all Muslims in Chernarus under one banner.
  • Establish a safe haven for all people, where the Sharia shall be the word of law.
  • Spread the word of Islam and convert as many Kafirs to the truthful words of the prophet Muhammed.
  • Help all people, regardless of religion, and protect all those in need.
  • Unify Islam in Chernarus and defeat the internal conflicts between Shiites and Sunnis.

We accept all people that we deem capable enough to join our group. We find it very important that all people that join the Chernarus Front have a basic knowledge of Islam and respect the religion. We are not here to cause insult to Islam or to run around and pretend we are terrorists. We are here to establish a serious group of peaceful Jihadi's, how strange that may sound.

Thanks DeeBlack! We were pretty sad when the United Islamic Front died before it even started, so this is our attempt to revive that idea with a slightly different angle. Hopefully enough people will join so we can get this truly started!

A few questions for more experienced forum users (I am incompetent): how do you embed the YouTube link into a song player? Several other group threads have this, I can't figure it out.

Also, all feedback is welcome! This is our first attempt at creating a group.

The leadership has a deep interest in Islam, even though we are not Muslims ourselves, and we aim to be as realistic as possible.

Thank you very much! I was completely clueless on how to do this.

From what I've seen of this group's RP at the slave auction event. I would say please do not start a group like this. I will not go into detail from what I experienced as you should know how you RP'ed. To put it simply I saw a completely mockery of Islam. The very fact you were at a slave auction at all is haram.

My suggestion would be to keep this group on hold until you did a bit more research. I know myself and others who have knowledge of Islam and we will test you to see how much you know.

I can already see some issues that raise questions such as:

What denomination of Islam do you follow?

Who is your Imam?

If Sunnis and Shiites are working together then then who is Muhammad's proper successor?

I see you use the term "Peaceful Jihadis" Jihad is the act of waging a holy way on the behalf of Islam. So how can you be peaceful if you are engaged in a religious duty of violence?

The characters at the slave auction were a Briton, a Russian, a Chernarussian and one Islamic trial character which doesn't exist anymore. So you did not see this group at the slave auction. The only reason my Islamic test character was there is because I can't really change the character 5 minutes before an event. And seeing as you are a Soairse member, all the RP you guys did with us was shoot us from a distance.

My suggestion would be to keep this group on hold until you did a bit more research. I know myself and others who have knowledge of Islam and we will test you to see how much you know.

I appreciate the offer but we don't need exams from other people. We are perfectly capable of applying our own knowledge of Islam. Feel free to send me any additional information that you wish to share about this.

My character has been raised a Sunni but will act in the believe that he is a Mujaddid, a reformer sent by Allah. His quest to restore the Islam to purity will include resolving the succession issue between Shiites and Sunnis. Who the true successor of the prophet Muhammed is can be decided in character between the members of this group. It is simply a goal to unify the Muslims, there should not be fighting between the followers of Allah but against those who oppose him.

You also state that Jihad is a holy war on the behalf of Islam, and I wish to point out that the Jihad is the struggle to serve Allah. You, as a self-declared expert on Islam, no doubt know that the inner Jihad is considered the greater Jihad, the spiritual struggle is the main focus. The lesser Jihad, the struggle against the enemies of Islam is also a big part of our group. And yes, in modern times this always is an armed struggle. But as I stated in the OP, we do not shy away from fighting but if we can avoid it we will. After all, this is not a PvP game but a roleplaying community.

You know what they say about people who make assumptions. I was a buyer on a alt character at the event. So I experienced your RP first hand.

Once again assumptions. You must be prepared to answer these question IC not OOC as I would test your knowledge of Islam to confirm you are true believers and not followers of the Shaytan.

Never claimed to be an expert just informed, but I'm glad to see you have done some research since our last IG encounter. Now if I read this correctly you would be trying to form a new denomination of Islam?

Running a Muslim group is no easy task. I wish you the best of luck, it would be nice to a Muslim group that has done some research into Islam.

You know what they say about people who make assumptions. I was a buyer on a alt character at the event. So I experienced your RP first hand.

The only RP you saw of me was me struggling with a malfunctioning microphone, the only typed RP I did was asking whether the slave would be willing to convert, so I could free him immediately after the purchase. Apart from that I did not RP, except as a bystander, while I was trying to figure out why my mic wouldn't work. So I have my doubts about your sample size, you saw 10 minutes of me and are ready to judge that I make a mockery of Islam. Which I would call an assumption.

But I will apologize for my assumption, your tone was rather passive-aggressive and seeing as we've had previous unpleasant run ins with Soairse I felt a certain bias. Then again, not to piss on Volke's hard work, but the entire event had some inherent flaws and there was enough mediocre RP to go around for everyone. Personally I prefer to forget that night and re-try it again in the future with some different rules. But this is hardly the place to discuss that.

Once again assumptions. You must be prepared to answer these question IC not OOC as I would test your knowledge of Islam to confirm you are true believers and not followers of the Shaytan.

Then feel free to ask those IC, we look forward to being interrogated by an Irish republican about the true values of Islam!

The whole idea of using the Mujaddid concept is "purifying" Islam. What better place to purify it than the most chaotic region of the world? At first our group will just be Sunni, but if we encounter any Shiites we will not assume the usual stance of demonizing them and seeing them as our enemies. Instead we will attempt to make them enter our ranks by showing them that Muslims must be united rather than divided. Whether a new sect will flow out of that is yet to be seen, I will go by what happens IC.

Either way, the whole point of adapting a peaceful stance is to avoid having a warmongering PvP group that will use any excuse to execute people for no apparent reason. I think there is far more fun and reward in talking with people. But conflicts will be unavoidable, I've already seen several groups that will clash with our way of life.

I agree with the previous posts on this thread regarding your knowledge of Islam. The Islamic faith is actually a very peaceful religion and Jihadis only make up a small portion of thier religious community.

I suggest you take a quick read through this page. Learn what you can, and try to focus on the more religious side than the steriotypical 'Jihad' side. I can see this becoming offensive very quickly if you walk around shouting 'Allah Hu Akbar' and threatening to blow things up.

On a side note. I wish you all the best with this group, and I hope you take all your feedback on board.

Thanks for your feedback. I do get the feeling however that you did not read our goals or guidelines, seeing as you are under the impression we wish to have an extremist Islamic group in DayZRP.

On the contrary, as stated multiple times, we seek to unite the Muslims and promote Islam as a religion of peace to the people of Chernarus. Our group can be seen as a moderatore Islamic organization attempting to restore balance in Chernarus with the end goal of establishing a flourishing Muslim community in the area.

What I mean is, I don't want this becoming a steriotypical group. Your goals may state one thing, but it wouldnt be the first time a group like this hasn't followed their goals and has become something different. Its a worry that many people have when groups like this pop up. As long as you keep to those goals and have a good understanding of the Islamic faith, all should be good.

I have this concern merely because you state that you're 'peaceful jihadis'. I don't want to see you initiating on people because they dont agree with the Islamic faith. By all means defend your own faith, but do it verbally and not physically.

We are still fighting a Jihad, but not against the players of DayZRP.. Robbery and initiating for the sake of "wow infidels" is inherently forbidden in our group. There are too many "crazy" and "aggressive" groups in DayZRP already and I have no interest in playing like that. So far we even helped a devout Christian because he needed some food. If we were the kind of people you fear us to be we would've tied him up and executed him.

Neither of us are a fan of that playstyle so we will continue our peaceful approach. For now I am hoping we can convert some people and establish a safe haven in a remote area with supplies for everyone.

I was a part of a Muslim extremist group when I first joined this community. Unfortunately it got denied because admins feared it would be too offensive. Anyway I hope this group doesn't meet the same fate. :)

Saying "Allahu Akbar" whilst playing a Muslim character is not offenisive at all.

It's said for a variety of reasons such as after slaughtering an animal or before and during prayers. There's a large variety of situations where Muslims may say it therefore I don't see a problem with Muslim characters saying it regularly at all

If they happen to be only saying "Allahu albar" to roleplay as Muslim characters then the problem isn't the fact they are saying "Allahu Akbar" but the problem lies with the fact their RP as Muslims doesn't go any further.
