Wow, talk about excited to be with a group of roleplayers for DayZ it self.  Hard to find people who are not all about KoS.  I have been with DayZ since it was a Mod way back in the day.  Like 2012 June time frame.  I mainly play as a hero type player and have done my shard of banditry, but that banditry was short lived, it just isn't my play stile.  I look to the game as if it would be how people would really react in real life.  So, watching the KoS happen kinda says what people have a tendency to want to do.  Though if you died in DayZ and could never play again after that death.  I don't think as many KoS's would happen either.  So it is a mixed bag.

Any ways, I'll be putting in for a white list to joint the DayZ standalone and will see how it goes from there.

So far I'm doing alright with the white list application. Up to the character background now. So that is taking a bit of time as it is split time between dinner, talking with a friend and trying to be creative. And I have no fantasies that I will be playing tonight as the approval process reads as if it will take a good amount of time as well.

Alright, where do I need to go to lore questions answered? If you link me the page that gives the lore on what initially happened, that isn't what I need. As in there it says we treat the current date also as in game. Since I am new to this community I need to find the most up to date as to what is happening in game for a reason for the character to be there. The last thing I have seen in the lore on dates is the broadcasts. The last broadcast being in march, number seven. Which is just about eight months ago from the current time of this post.

Recently there was a Lore event to repair the Green Mountain tower so there can be more broadcasts, but it failed because the bandits won.

Any ways, was able to get that application finally done. Was so not expecting it to take me six hours to complete all this. Any ways, if I get the green light, I look forward to getting to know some characters in the land of Zeds.
