Before the Apocalypse started, Insurgency was nothing more than a group of friends, all with common goals and interests. Anarchy.

A man named Kozlov watched his mother get brutally raped whilst he was restrained by a squad of Chedaki soldiers. Rather than rebelling against the Chedaki, he blamed society, the government. They were the reason this had happened. He watched the CDF tirelessly fight against the Chedaki. He watched the police bully the locals of his town.

He knew that the ‘normal’ ways of life were not so normal. Corruption was ever present, of course, Chernarus was under threat, that was expected, however oppression was something Kozlov was not willing to succumb to. He decided he would fight back. Strike back in anyway possible. He began getting people together with the same thought process, that is how The Insurgents originally came together.

The group was to overturn by violence all constituted forms and institutions of society and government, with no purpose of establishing any other system of order in the place of that destroyed. They believed that leaders, government, religion and ideology was not needed.

Once the outbreak occurred, The Insurgents goal was completed no government was standing and society has fallen. Now done with their task, the world was semi-ideal, although the now present threat of undead was clear. With the infected increase, the group found themselves in a spot of trouble. They had no training, they only knew how to make home-made Molotov and grenades. They struggled to survive, however traveling in a group brought its benefits. Some knew more than others, from that they learned and advanced forth. They found weapons the military had left behind, they began using what they could and eventually each man knew exactly how to handle the gun he carried.

However, the harsh elements of survival was still a problem. They couldn't just survive on canned food. What happens when it runs out? They stumbled upon a Chernarussian huntsmen and farmer, they had lived together for many years. It was funny, they wasn't aware that society had collapsed. Somehow the undead had not dared venture into their acres of land. The group explained everything, they offered protection in return for training. After some months had passed, they group essentially knew everything needed. Yes, they had lost of a few men, but the apocalypse isn't a place for everyone. The strong survive, the weak perish. That is what they believed.

Prevent any form of new government or dictatorship in Chernarus.

Ensure we have a level of respect for others, providing we receive the same back.

Spread the word of the Insurgency to the survivors of the country.

Defend ourselves from any threats that may be in the wasteland. (Zombies/People).

Recruit more members to help achieve above goals.

Nah, definitely not. I had the idea of trying to establish a trading post there, quickly went back on that idea but left the photo in anyways.

Well it depends now, back before the apocalypse, they was anti-everything.

They didn't like the government, CDF or Chedaki, however now I suppose they would play their cards right, after all the world is now about survival rather than domination and society.

Also, in regards to the possible wars that we could have with other factions. We would only dare attack another group when we see them successfully starting a society or government. Any group that 'attempts' wouldn't have any trouble from us first, unless they were to tell us what to do or something. Plus, we've just started, so for us to go to war with any big group would be a foolish move. Perhaps in the future.
