Detailed description of the events: Myself and Richard were casually approaching green mountain, didn't hear voices no nothing I walked in the tower and saw a ton of loot all over so I began to look through it, then approached the ladder but couldn't see up because of the view. So I started to go up the ladder and after a few steps up the ladder I was immediately shot no warning or anything just shot for no reason.

POV: We were initiated upon by the ex 501st hiding in the tower, we've been sitting in the compound for quite a while waiting for them to either climb down and face their destiny or combat log. Somewhere during this Pourty walked inside and entered the tower without us noticing. 501st then shoots him dead and screams asking how it feels that another one of our friends fall. We get confused and I run and check down there, and yup. Innocent Micky lost his life.

Brandon McEvoy is the one 501st member we've got a name of.

 I misidentified him for being a part of the group we were in a situation with, since they had regularly peeked up and even two tried to climb up earlier (hence the loot). We had initated on the compound and ladder several times, but I should of shouted out before shooting.

My PoV (Brandon McEvoy)

Sorry for the delayed PoV, been really sick and had a lot of other forum stuff to deal with, regardless my PoV is as follows. We had held a few people up prior to the long firefight. One of the people we had hostage was with the Irish and came back with his buddies. We initiated and had a long standoff in the tower that lasted a total of around 4 hours. We initiated several times on the compound telling them to leave the mountain or they would be shot. Irish then began to bait us into shooting them at the bottom of the ladder. The OP decides to willingly put himself in the middle of a situation climbing up the tower, where he knew there were hostiles.

Reason:

As you admitted in Post #4 you mis-ID'd the OP as a member of a group you had KoS on. Whilst the situation is chaotic and we as a team understand that mistakes can be made, it is always safe to hold fire until you are absolutely sure that person is a part of the group you have KoS on or fires upon you, effectively granting you right to defend yourself. 

In the future, we ask that you properly identify your targets and be sure that your allies know this as well. We also ask that you take these two days away from in-game activity to review the rules and reflect on the situation that went on.
