Detailed description of the events:met who I though to be jay Wong and group in novy sobor in the church. I introduce myself and then leave. I hear on the radio chatter that jay Wong has been killed so I return to the church to see if anyone needs help. Terry is there talking with them and then rick cones in and leaves soon after. Then seeing as no one needed help I tell them I'm leaving. Then they tell me to put my hands up then they handcuff me taking all of my gear and leaving me there discarded clothes and empty weapons. They then disappear after I try and get any rp out of them. Instead they ask me if anybody is outside which I say no so they disappear into the night leaving me handcuffed with no food. Terry then helps me out off the cuffs and I log off as I needed to go to school. Before this i message Wong saying did you rob me which he replies no it's a bunch of guys impersonating us.

Just to add, the robbers didn't steal anything from me and were actually quite nice to me before hand, i was just in the wrong place at the wrong time i guess.

However they did initiate on me and i was hoping for more hostile RP than i received. It is a shame they concentrated on taking the OPs ghillie and hot footing out of their as they did.

I would like the accused to realize this sort of thing isn't really acceptable as hostile RP rather than pushing for a direct punishment - if that makes sense.

As for impersonation, ooc i know Jay quite well and it was quite confusing having this chap introduce himself as Jay Wong. It was however part of their RP to impersonate so im not exactly sure how the rules stand on this.

[Clancy Road] Okay, so in the video I was the one who was introduced as "Jay Wong". If I'm going to be quite frank, our entire group was in a bit of a hot state as we had just been in a firefight with some members of the brotherhood's group. After killing one or two we stole certain pieces of their gear and made a sprint for the church where these two found us. We had already put on their clothes in an attempt to not get picked off by brotherhood snipers. (Note: When I was called Jay Wong, my in-game voice sounded absolutely nothing like his and it was for an RP reason. We did it to make sure that if these players IG were friends with the Brotherhood, we wouldn't be shot etc.) To be fair, this was  a case of impersonation, but was not intended to ruin, or damage the real Mr. Wong's reputation. After we left the church, one of us, I believe it to be Eli, stated that there was a lockpick left at the entrance, and I can confirm seeing it as we left the building, and that was left in order to un-cuff Mitch. In terms of bad hostile RP, my group and I had already had a rush of adrenaline from the shots beforehand and didn't want to hang around in the area for too long, I'd like to apologise for this lack of detailed RP as I can too, see that the whole event was a little rushed. I just hope you can also see it from my / our point of view...

Firstly there were no lockpicks, secondly you clearly stated several times that you were jay wong and robbed me as jay wong trying to ruin his reputation and one question ic how do you and your friends know jay wongs name? As im pretty sure if you dont know him ic thats also metagaming. Finally you can see in the video eli never said anything about a lockpick.

Look, as I stated earlier, I've already owned up to impersonation, when we robbed you... Whether or not the lockpick was taken on the way out I don't know but as I left I saw a damaged lockpick... Sorry if this was taken, I had believed it was left in order to let Terry unlock you. In relations to actually knowing Jay Wong, I personally was walking with him for a good 5-10 minutes and after hearing his voice over the radio I could quite easily recognise it, we also as stated earlier got into a gunfight with the man himself... Also may I state, Jay Wong is quite a well known character within the community and his name is mentioned many times over the radio to which I usually check up on, so knowing who he is isn't very hard. Lastly, in terms of ruining Jay Wong's reputation, as seen in the video you state you knew who the brotherhood are, showing you knew that we were fakes as soon as you met us. Seeing as though you knew we were fakes, we decided to continue as members of the Brotherhood concealing our names / identities.

All in all, I've admitted to the wrong doing and if you wish to take this further I'm not going to stop you as I can see why you're annoyed, of course personally I'd rather not be banned / warned but obviously what I've done is a violation of the rules, but my point is if you could see it from our perspective we had reasons for the impersonation and the quick escape.

Actually Spartan we were not saying we were Jay Wong whilst robbing you. I actually stated who we actually were and why we were holding you up. I did leave a lock pick next to you unless it was bugged. For example when somebody drops something and it shows up but you still can't pick it up. I did leave you some pumpkin slices so you were not without food. We were not trying to ruin Jay Wong's reputation at any point, we were taking precautions because we knew people would come looking for us so we hid in plane sight in the brotherhoods uniform. You are the one that came back and began asking if the brotherhood wanted any help, so then we knew that you could not be trusted. Before you even met us in there we were being friendly to everybody that entered even ask Terry. We gave him shelter, warmth etc. At no point did we want to ruin the brotherhoods rep. We even stated whilst we were robbing you go we were and why we were doing this to you. Finally technically if you tell us that you have friends and we found a radio on you. Of course we don't want to stick around, would you when somebody else friends could be surrounding you?

Edit: Again we told you who we really were when robbing you otherwise you wouldn't have known we were "The Signal" right? I named who we were so don't say we were trying to pretend we were the brotherhood whilst robbing you. I even said at the end don't try and help the brotherhood ever again. Thank you, that's my POV.

I can't really add that much since everything has already been told, we were using the beret and armband so we wouldn't get KOS'ed by The Brotherhood. Before we robbed you, you told us that you were willing to help the brotherhood with finding these guys. We didn't trust you at that point.

When we robbed you we left 1 damaged lockpick on the floor for terry to pick it up and uncuff you. After you told us that you had friends we didn't want to stick around for that long since they might be in the area and getting positions to take action against us. We decided to leave and before we left we told you that we are "The Signal" but we didn't give our names away just to be safe. We didn't impersonate to ruin their reputation but to stay safe.

I dont want to clutter up this report too much but just two things i want to add.

First im pretty sure if the botherhood saw people in their clothes they would kill them, why not change to other clothes and change accents seeing as the brotherhood knew their brothers had been killed.

Secondly i never said anything about helping find the signal i said i came to offer medical help to anyone (even the signal i was implying) that gad been injured. I also though not in the video stated that i woukd not be helping hunt down people unless my fellow huntsmen were there and we received payment.

Reason:

We as staff have reviewed the evidence and have come to a decision regarding a punishment.

In the video that had been provided in the report, the situation starts off at first with the initiation. The accused then proceed to pick over the gear of Michael Gibson in near silence, providing little role play to both of the hostages. Upon watching the video, the accusation of "gear over role play" is vastly justified to us as we can see that the priority was the gear, and the role play suffered for it. We would like to make it clear that you are allowed to rob somebody just for their weaponry, but the role play must always be the most important thing, and it is clear that it wasn't in this case. Not only that, but after you received everything you wanted, the accused literally sprinted away with no second thought or leaving remarks. If the point that gear was the main objective wasn't clear before, it was certainly was apparent when the accused left so quickly.

Not to mention, the evident impersonation that took place during the situation. It is admitted in many of the POV's that the accused were calling themselves the brotherhood, and one in particular took the actual name "Jay Wong". You then proceeded to act out hostilities towards the OP and Terry, actively breaking the impersonation rule we have set in place. We would like to explain that the impersonation rule was created in order to protect individuals and groups from being put into danger for actions that they did not do. Think of it this way, if the OP and Terry did not know better, and they ran across the actual Jay Wong within their two hour revenge timer, they may have shot him, thinking that it was the individual that robbed him earlier. By using names of other community members while robbing someone, you put those actual people in danger for your actions.

Due to the above mentioned points, and the severity of the rule breaks, we as staff feel the need to provide the accused with a harsher punishment.
