It generally is depending on the time of day. We have quite a lot of Europeans and Americans here so Morning-Midday our time things are usually fairly quiet by comparison.

I would say, depends if you are looking for "Hardcore" roleplay or more "soft" roleplay ?

Are you also looking for a more agressive clan or something more "friendly" ?

I would personally suggest the Dead Rabbits or ZZ for more roleplay !

Diremast has something promising, the Dead Rabbits.

Also, Spotter and his Zagori Zarmuteki clan are known for their serious roleplay.

Both are native clans though. SFOD-D might be interesting if you're looking for a military (American) clan.

I myself am a Raven of the Raven Shield Mercenaries. We haven't really got the chance to prove ourselves yet, but we're looking for members if you're interested.

There are a lot of other good clans too, btw!

Given my backstory (foriegn cameraman with a documentary crew) they dont seem a great fit..ill keep looking

Kinda like the idea of raven shield (that a jericho referance?) but my back story wouldnt fit...suppose i could add some military service before i became a cameraman

Looks like Leon and I agree on the Dead Rabbits and Zagori Zarmuteki! Both are native clans though.

Native Chernarussian clans:

Dead Rabbits (very promising, and probably very serious)

Chernarus Liberation Front

Zagori Zarmuteki (most serious clan at the moment)

Bandit clans:

BlueCloud PMC

S-GRU Company 47 (Recruitement closed, but you should at least know about this clan. Officially not bandits, but they basically rob or even kill everyone)

Legion (one of the more serious bandit groups)

Military clans:

24th Marine Expeditionary Unit (A LOT of members!)

SFOD-D

Friendly clans:

Chernarussian Socialistic Republic

Free Medics

Trade Post Defenders (Not really a clan, but if you're interested in helping defend the TP as a part-time job, this might be something to look at)

The Outpost Rangers (Tomeran, the leader, always has interesting events ready!)

Mercenary clans:

Raven Shield Mercenaries (Pretty new, but we try to be serious. Us being mercenaries is not an excuse to kill. Our clan is based on trust, and whoever pays the most :P)

Rising Freeborns (Officially mercenaries, but they strike me more as bandits to be honest :P)

"Survivor" clans:

Wolf Pack (needs a seperate category. Raun Paru wants to take serious roleplay to a whole new level, but it might be too much for some :D)

About RSM, you don't need to have a military background. You have to know how to handle a gun, that is all.

About the name, and I quote Morgan Riggs, the leader: "The raven is an ill omen, a warning of impending death or misfortune -

while the shield symbolises security and protection for those in need."

As for the backstory: the basic idea is that we don't take sides. Whoever pays the most gets our help. It's never personal. And a lot of our roleplay is based on trust. We trust you to pay, and you have to trust us. So we really take that trust aspect seriously, because once we break the trust, no one will hire our services anymore.

My best advice is not to pick a clan on a whim. We put a lot of emphasis on playing in character here, so clans will operate in a manner that suits their roleplay background. For that reason, its important to pick a clan that suits your characters playstyle (hero, bandit, medic etc).

Exactly. And once you choose, you aren't bound for life. Play a very friendly medic for a month and you might have the urge to rob some people. That's fine. Take some time to come up with a new character and join a different clan.

Every clan is great in its own way, too. There arent really any bad choices!
