I'd say go to GTX 660 OEM Ti, or 670.

RIP in peace 590 o7

It makes little difference what manufacturer, the card will have almost identical performance no matter what. The main difference is the warranty and the heatsink/cooler, generally any big name (Gigabyte, EVGA, MSI, Asus etc.) is fine.

Its understandable if you only want an NVIDIA card, 670 is fine, but if I were you I would wait for the 700 series release.

Why Nvidia?

1. I feel like their products are superior to their competition.

2. I have a friend that works at Nvidia in Bellevue, WA

Why EVGA?

1. I'm a complete brand snob when it comes down to hardware brands. I've had everything under the sun brand wise as far as hardware goes. And the only thing that has lasted for any amount of time has been my EVGA products.

2. Everything that possibly can be EVGA in my machine is EVGA.

3. Warranty

I completely understand Why nVidia, I am also an nVidia addict, but seriously, EVGA? the elast reliable of the bunch, if you ask be.

I would go with a Gigabyte nVidia.

Then again, I'm kind of a wierdo when it comes to hardware, i never buy intel CPUs, because of the aforementioned bang-for-back thing. Last I checked the most powerful i7 cost approx 25% more than the most powerful PhenomII, while the phenom is only 17% under the i7 in benchmark charts.

Yeah big slow moving fans are better than a little baby fan that screams about all the air it has to shove away from the heatsink.

PNY FTW. also i have a GTX 580 thats handling most new gen games so idk why you guys are going for the 600 series. i mean if you have the pennies to do it go for it.

I'd stand by the 670 as it is a solid piece of kit. I have no background with EVGA but the reviews seem positive and it's worth spending another $20 dollars on it in my opinion.

Besides the 670 future proofs it for a good while.
