JSRS 1.5 Soundmod!

Just downloaded this sound mod and have to say it creates such an immersive environment especially when in a contact. IMHO it is far above ACEX sound mod. I know you used to support JSRS but something about tin cans and grenade sounds was mentioned?

Would love to see this implemented.

Yes, when you threw a tin can it sounded the grenade audio effect.

Made a few threads suggesting that it gets let back as a 3rd party sound mod. Hoping for it to be allowed still!

I used it when it was allowed on the server. I had to turn it off because I couldnt hear gun shots that others could. But yeah, new sounds seem to make such a difference to your experience. A zombie was fast crawling on the otherside of a wall and I was a little scared because I hadn't hear it in ages. Wondered what the hell it was for a few seconds. Why was the key removed from the server?

From what I understood, the sound mod causes issues with other aspects of the modded files, which was the reason it was restricted from use.

thats why i thought it'd be used for trolling.

apologies if my earlier post came off like i was dismissing murdentist's idea, though. that wasn't my intention.

edit: is this the same mod?

JSRS uses scripts that spawn entities server side, these conflict with our filters and they use up client and server resources. ACEX_SM only replaces sound files client side so it can be used by anyone and does not conflict with the server.

We had it, we tested it and we disabled it, for above reason.

That is a real shame. I loved JSRS, different sounds outside, inside, first and third person and you could tell the difference between a DMR and an M14, as well as sounding fantastic :(
