Break RP when server crash?

Question

A few minutes ago i was playing with some fellow surivors and in the middle of it all the server seem to have crashed. Everyone were talking on the voip but nobody could move or do any action. Is it here allowed to TYPE IN CHAT something that is out of character? I felt that some players did not understand what was going on.

If some players did not experience the crash, my sudden standstill would seem kind of bad RP after having a blast for 40mins. Can i get reported if my game crashes etc? It was not only me this time, two mates also got "recieving" on all items and couldn't open doors/eat etc.

For those who were there. The curse is real.

Sure, in fact client issues are one of the few times where it is acceptable to break character!

Use // before you type, to indicate OOC chatter:

"//Hey guys my client is acting up, is it lagging for you?"

or if you have to leave your computer:

"//It's getting late and I have to log out soon, can we wrap this up?"
