KOS as a cannibal

Question

FrostyGAMES    0

I know that you are required to have a reason for killing someone and must make your intentions clear before doing so, but how does KOS work as a cannibal? Are we able to take prisoners and kill them later for food?

No... you can't just kill people because you are a cannibal. That's like saying you're allowed to KOS everyone because you role play as a serial killer. Just no.

I'm quite sure that as a cannibal, you can initiate and kill people to eat but only after extensive RP with the victim as well as concent because cannibal RP usually requires the victim to die/get eaten and his character wont remember dying, so its kinda lame to do that.

All and all cannibal RP is best done by eating human meat/animal meat that is passed as human meat infront of people.

I agree that this would be a bad rule, otherwise you would get a lot of people claiming to be cannibals just to take loot from people and use it as an excuse to kill people with no real reason. I guess you could try and provoke your captive into doing something wrong so then you could kill them but i think that could be a bannable offence.

Sorry I shouldn't have been so vague about it. It would of course be after quite a bit of RP, we wouldn't go around killing everyone we see. There would be a sort of process in which we kidnap them, scare the living hell out of them, escort them to a certain place (giving them plenty of opportunities to escape), and then begin an execution.

In the end its all about a great opportunity of RP, and we want to give that to people by implementing fear into their minds. I for one feel a bit too safe on the RP servers, I just want to make things more interesting for myself and others.

If they give you OOC permission to execute and eat them yes, if they comply and refuse you can't execute them, no matter how much you rp with them first.

What you might do is see if you can find a player out of the game willing to play as a victim. It could lead to some nice RP to plan out a scene where a character is captured, tortured, and eaten. This would require advance permission OOC, of course.

Easy way to obtain meat to play your character without necessarily killing anyone is visit some high pop areas and when deaths occur swoop in and carve the body hopefully without anyone seeing. Have to cause a distraction or time it when theres a chance. I've actually witnessed this done a couple times by a particular cannibal and it seemed to work for him. The way he'd do it was so clever I never said anything to him. Once he had the meat he would use it to further his characters interactions with people.

Cheers

Yes, it's called baiting.

I for one feel a bit too safe on the RP servers, I just want to make things more interesting for myself and others.

I feel too safe. I know, I'll make things more dangerous for other people! Yes!

When I was a boy, if my mother got cold, she would tell me to put on a sweater. Never made her any warmer.

P.S. - why does your signature seem to speak out against cannibalism, but you're actively seeking to become a cannibal?

Signed - Someone who thinks cannibalism for cannibalism's sake is dumb dumb dumb dumb dumb. Not exciting, boring, stupid, and dumb. And immersion breaking.

Ahh thank you for pointing that out, I forgot about my signature. As for feeling too safe and making things dangerous for people, isn't that somewhat the point? There would be no point to Dayz if there were no dangerous people looking to cause trouble. Just a moment ago, I as a cannibal was attacked by other cannibals and found it absolutely thrilling. So yes, there is a point to it. It is of course your opinion, but remember that experiences like this are what make this RP server interesting.

In my experience, conflict arises naturally from character. There is no need to seek it out or create it.

If you create a reasonable, believable, fleshed-out character and play him realistically, you will come into conflict with someone. You will find that this conflict that arises organically is dramatically more satisfying and worth investing in than "Blarg! I'm a cannibal - YAAAAAAAA". Obvious hyperbole is obvious. Seriously though, it's like the difference between masturbation and falling in love.
