As stated in the rules:

You may only share KoS rights when you meet both of the following conditions:

You are within 500 meters of the hostile situation at the time of occurrence

You were recently apart of the involved parties group.

Firing a warning shot is NOT advised as:

  1. It can be considered attempted kos
  2. It gives the person you are shooting at kos rights on you

If your scenario does present itself, the best thing you can do is initiate on the hostile person and disarm him. If he does not comply to your demands then you have the right to shoot him...but if he does comply you don't get kos rights but they guy he was robbing has kos rights...if you get my drift;)

Lets say player X robs player Y and I see it happening.

Can i shoot close to the player X so that he gets scared and possibly runs away or do i need to make contact with him?

sometimes you might just have to bite your humanity in you and act like you havent seen a thing, or you can hide and watch, and help the robbed person, mabye give / borrow him a gun so he can get revenge on the robber
