Trouble with logging into the server.

Recommended Posts

Hello, having problems with logging into the server. I receive this error message when trying to join the server. The game continues to load all the way to the lobby, only to get disconnected from it mere moments later. Help would be great!

When you installed the Dayz Rp mod did you run both Arma 2 and Arma 2 OA atleast once?

Have you verified the integrity of your game cache?

To do so try using the following steps

1. Right Click Arma2 Operation Arrowhead in your Steam Library

2. Then click Properties on the Drop down box

3. Click the Local Files Tab

4. Verify the integrity of your game cache

EDIT: If these steps don't work, try reinstalling the game from scratch. And make sure you run the games (Arma 2 and Arma 2 OA) at least once.

Before the install, yes, many times. After installing the mod? No, I went directly for the launcher. Did access OA loads of times to see if the problem laid there, tried to load into Arma 2 to see if that could somehow fix it. It didn't.

EDIT: Oh, didn't see Rifleman's post. Will try that.

Try the following if previous fixes do not work:

Go to \Steam\steamapps\common\arma 2\

copy the entire Addons folder found in there into A2OA's main folder

EDIT: In addition, when verifying your files run steam as an administrator. Do so by closing down steam completely, right click on it and select run as administrator.

If you end up doing a reinstall, first run steam as an administrator, then install arma 2 + OA, close down steam, restart again as an administrator and run both games once.

Steam has trouble with the way Arma requires some registry stuff to be modified.

Let us know if the issue arises again.

I comfirmed the integrity of OA, by going to properties, etc. I also copied the normal Arma 2 addon folder into the existing OA addon folder.
