The story of a Mumbler... ("New" Character)

"I do not know the difference between my experiences and my stories... but I have this... feeling... this gut instinct... the undefinable sense that the stories I know must continue.."

Brian "The Mumbler's" reason for seeking out the aid of the BWR

All stories have a beginning, the Mumbler's is no different and, like all good stories, it starts with a long time ago with a hero...

The hero, whose name escapes him, was a man who had seen a fair share of thing during his time. The downfall of organizations and governments, the rise of civilian militias taking back freedom their oppressors , he has even had the mixed blessing / curse of seeing en the extremes of both human kindness and the most pure of hatred...

This hero, whom travelled the wastes of Chernarus, was well renowned by it's inhabitants. Some praising him as the model of all that was pure and good, others seeing him as the largest nusiences to their day to day operations and , hell, some just saw him as a lucky idiot... scraping death in nearly every encounter he had...

And yet all stories do not last forever. One day, a group known as the "SVR" demanded that this hero come out of his hidden lair, as to face the "Justice" of their regime, and avenge the S-Gru that , in part, had been thwarted time and time again by the hero.

The hero , after seeing the SVR would go as far as to threaten all of those he had helped (no matter how indirectly), came out of hiding, and met his assured death with open arms...

A firing squad, near prud lake... that is how it ended... or at least for a while. For you see, with a bullet in his head, and a selfless saint nearby (the only words that come to mind when thinking of the man are "Steel" and "Free" ) the hero was saved.

4 Months... that is how long he was in a coma for before he awoke again. And, without a second of doubt, he picked up his coat and belongings and headed straight back out into the wastes, thanking every deity there was for the fact the bullet in his head had not caused any real damage...

Or so he thought...

About 2 months later, surrounded by zombies and with nothing but a pickaxe, the hero was mauled beyond recognition once more and, after a week or 2 of disillusion and hallucinations, the hero awoke in, whilst physically good health, he found that his mind had lost something along the way...

For some reason, yet to be explained to him, memories have become , not lost, but hidden... not able to distinguish between story and memory, this weary hero now wanders the wastes, in the hopes that someone can help fill in the blanks or, better yet, fix whatever has broken inside that old noggin of his...

So with a toolbox on his back, and a pen in his hands, the hero (Now thinking his name might be "Brian") writes this story up as best as he can, more details on events , places and memories too specific to confirm to be truth, and hopes that someone... anyone... can help him....

(*Versions identical, and differing slightly in detail , are found all across Chernarus... using different inks, paper and even languages*)

The Hero, after nearly a week of looking for answers, finally found a way to continue his story and end fate's "writer's block"...

The Blackwood Republic.... finding them , completely by dumb luck, was the best thing that ever happened to the hero...

Not only did they sit , offer him food and supplies, not only did they give him the chance to figure out which of the skills he can recite from his stories were truely his, medical, mechanical ect ect, .... they also gave him some of the knowledge he was seeking, or rather where he could find it...

Upon the mentioning the only ways the hero could think of when looking back on the story of the hero's survival of a bullet shot wound to the head were "Steel" and "Free" they pointed him in a direction that allowed some of his story's details to resurface...

Free Medics... an organization known for their charity and good will, saving nearly anyone and everyone who needed their aid. And the member of this organization who saved the hero ... the man who went against the agenda of the SVR itself... this man... was known as "Derek Steel"...

And better yet the Blackwood Republic, with a little persuasion using his skills as a mechanic to fix their VS3 , not only knew where the Free Medic's secret camp was, but they also took him straight to it...

And there he sits and waits... hoping eventually to come back into contact with the saviour of the story...
