I think bring back helicopters would give people that are new too DayzRP more of a experience and enjoyable time playing it.

I'm not saying bring back like OP Helicopters but maybe 1 Huey, 1 Mi17 and 1 Little bird but maybe using this aswell.

Open too questions too.

- 1st person only

- choppers run on kerosine fuel which can only be gotten from the airfields.

And you have to use red hoses and connect it to a fuel pump to refuel the helicopter, but it doesn't fill up massively.

This definitely makes sense and would provide limit their movement which is good.

Also agree that there should only be unarmed versions available so that they are limited to transport purposes otherwise they would be to op.

Yeah, There good ideas. Only having Heli's too refill in Airfields and You need some sort of equipment too refill it with, so It's not easy too look after them and more of a challenge.

Forced First Person, that Kerosene idea and make them unarmed then you have my yes.

No Merlins though - too OP and won't fit in with the lore.

i vote yes if:

1. First person only

2. They only run on kerosine

3. only the littlebird and possibly the mi-17 civilian (no guns)

4. you need to connect the kerosine tanks to the helicopter with a hose.

I agree with these:

-1st person only

-No guns on helis

-Kerosine or some special gas

But please no gas hose, it would make it so annoying...

I would like the idea of brining back choppers, there could also be some kind of transport company similar to redcoat bus-travels.

But all in all I would love to see them back!

First person only in choppers even with passengers.

Try put in choppers which look made by civilians so you don't get Mi17 and hueys flying around.

Im pretty sure this has already been talked about, i could be wrong.

Im fine with just first person, that way its harder for helis to find tents and all that.

About the First person i hope thats only when you in a chopper because i think many would appreciate to still have third person when running around and such

Add the helicopters back but maybe only have 1 or 2 with guns, like the Mi17 or something similar.

How would they not fit in with the lore? They're used by the British military's rapid reaction force which even though in small numbers would have been deployed to south zagoria with the International Task Force and as for the OPness they are unarmed in game. :D

All the British Merlins that were in the area were stationed at the Utes garrison or on any nearby British Naval Vessels when the ITF moved in to support the CDF in the quarantine.

Utes Had a few Merlins on it at the time of the Council War. Most of which were destroyed. EDIT: Or if not, severely damaged.

That said, the Chances of a Merlin being shot down at the time of the Outbreak is minimal - and even if it was, it would've likely caught fire on impact to the ground.

And EVEN if it wasn't destroyed - the only people who would have the knowhow to fix and maintain a Merlin would not be in on the ground in Chernarus.

And as for the OPness - they are almost completely resistant to Small arms fire - similar to that of Chinooks.
