The Outpost(v.3)

--------------------------------Welcome to the Outpost Project(version 3.0)--------------------------------

The outpost project is a constantly ongoing project about resupplying fresh-spawns and bambis at the south coast. Although previously it involved a single outpost facility, the outpost project has now been reformed(version 3.0) to include a series of smaller outposts in one network. You can find specific information about these locations and the project below, but the summary is that this project is meant to be a friendly introduction to new players and a shortcut for players wishing to reequip.

The project is currently run by the T.O.R-clan(The Outpost Rangers), and its friends, associates and allies.

At the following locations, you will usually be able to find some useful loot. -EVERYONE- can help themselves to these supplies, even those listed as hostile or unfriendly with the T.O.R clan.

Mini-outpost network

The mini-outpost network is a collection of roughly half-a-dozen smaller camps along the south coast. The mini-outposts can have anything that's useful. Sometimes that might even be military weapons, most often its at least military-grade ammo. How much depends on how often it is maintained by T.O.R personel and its allies, and the outpost's storage capacity.

Most of these smaller outposts are in fairly defensible locations and are somewhat hidden. Still, read our security recomendations at the bottom of this thread before you visit one, because some people might exploit that their locations are made public.

(note: The common loot is by no means a guarantee, just what's most likely to be there.)

Mini-Outpost 1 - Kamenka

Capacity and common loot: 1 tent. Civilian gear, limited medicine and military gear. Might have spare parts.

Specific Location: Central Kamenka next to a pale house, near the wall at the road. Right next to a big red brick building.

Coordinates are 018-131.

Mini-Outpost 2 - Balota

Capacity and common loot: 1 tent, usually food and military-grade ammo, sometimes military-grade weapons as well as spare parts. Rarely large quantities of medicine.

Specific Location: Balota docks, near one of the smaller garage buildings next to the cargo containers.

Coordinates are 043-130(at the very bottom of that grid).

Mini-outpost 3 - Chernogorsk

Capacity and common loot: 8 tents. Some civilian and military-grade weapons and ammo. Almost always some food and medicine. Sometimes spare parts.

Specific Location: In the big church in Cherno.

Coordinates are 066-130.

Mini-outpost 4 - Pik Kozlova

Capacity and common loot: 1 tent. Some civilian weapons and ammo, rarely medicine and food. Sometimes spare parts and small amounts of military-grade ammo.

Specific location: At the top of the big mountain near the road between Elektro and Cherno.

Coordinates are 088-124(very bottom of the grid).

Mini-outpost 5 - Elektrozavodsk

Capacity and common loot: 3 tents. Some civilian and a few military-grade weapons. Usually lots of civilian and military-ammo. Food and medicine common. Spare parts common.

Specific location: At the west of central Elektrozavodsk, near one of the bus-stops at the main road. In the walled-in yard of a house.

Coordinates are 099-133(top right of the grid).

(this list of smaller outpost may be edited and expanded as the project develops)

Regarding associates, allies and friends

Because this network spans almost the entire south coast, our allies and friends now play a bigger role in refilling the camps. T.O.R is more mobile then before, but we still have to be in and work in half a dozen locations.

It falls down to our allies and friends how they wish to help out. They can refill the camps or help guard or patrol them, either works. They can also help establish a fortification perimeter near them to help make them somewhat zombie-proof, as long as they make this perimeter sensible.

However T.O.R reserves the right to expand the official list of mini-outposts, so if someone wishes to make a whole camp contribution of a fortified and semi-hidden camp in a suitable location, we'd greatly appreciate if you'd bring this through either me or another senior T.O.R member first.

T.O.R Field Assistance

Apart from these outposts, the T.O.R clan will constantly be on the move at the south coast and offer constant assistance, be it equipment, medical attention or taxi-services, to anyone that needs it. Unless approached with hostility or part of a clan currently listed as hostile with T.O.R, a T.O.R-member will -never- try to rob you. We will always try to help friendly people out if we have the means and time to do so.

If you encounter a player identified as T.O.R(yes, even our trial members marked as T.O.R[T]), dont hesitate to ask for assistance, and you're very likely to get it.

Security

Because the outpost network is so spread out, it will not be manned as frequently as the previous outpost was. Sometimes there might be a few guards or scavengers present at one of the mini-outposts, but most often its not. This can be both bad and good.

It can be bad because it allows bandits to freely set up ambushes in the area, and they might also sabotage the place.(Although its important to note that since these services are open to all, they'll be shooting themselves in the foot by conducting sabotage.)

But it can be good because it means there's less traffic at the mini-outposts, and less traffic inevitebly means less bandits. Only the bandits with the most patience will camp out a poorly trafficed mini-outpost.

However, T.O.R makes the following security recomendations, to make your use of our services as safe as possible:

- Always scope out the mini-outpost from a distance before visiting.

Sometimes you can actually spot bandits lying in wait nearby. Guys in bandit skins nearby is a particularly bad sign.(No T.O.R-personel will ever have bandit-skins, but dont automaticly take a hero-skin for a nice guy.)

- Make your visit brief. The shorter your stay, the less chance you'll be robbed.

- If you can avoid it, dont go alone.

- If gunfire is heard from the immidiate vicinity of the outpost, avoid it or try to localize the cause of the noise from a big distance(binoculars recomended).

- Be extra careful at outposts in big cities, such as Cherno and Elektro. The chances for ambushes at these places can be high.

- If anything rubs you the wrong way with the atmosphere of the outpost or any of the people you see there and possibly have contact with seem weird, leave. There are always other options, including other mini-outposts usually less then 2 kilometers away.

Better safe then sorry.

That's it for now folks, I'll keep this edited and updates as often as required. And here's to hoping there wont be a need for a version 4.0.

Thank you for reading

I will schedule runs between those to keep them filled with morphine and bloodbags.

You can never have enough of those laying around.

Mini-outpost 5 - Elektrozavodsk

Capacity and common loot: 2 tents. Some civilian and a few military-grade weapons. Usually lots of civilian and military-ammo. Food and medicine common. Spare parts common.

Specific location: At the east of central Elektrozavodsk, near one of the bus-stops at the main road. In the walled-in yard of a house.

Coordinates are 099-133(top right of the grid).

It is in the West not East. Cheers to Kineth and the other fellow for a pleasant evening. Would've hooked up again with you if we weren't looking on the wrong side of town for you :P

The main redistribution facility is currently meant to serve both as T.O.R's HQ, and the main place where we distribute loot to the needy as well as stock up for future redistribution to the smaller outpost network.

The main outpost will likely have larger storage capacity then the mini-outposts, but unlike the mini-outposts, it will have basic gear -only-. This is for the sole reason of not competing with the local trade post merchants.

Location: New Trade Post between Elektrozavodsk and Chernogorsk(Not yet in place, new TP not yet available)

Specific Location: Near the big church in Cherno, at a walled-in alley across the road.

Coordinates are 067-130.

Masterguy, have a look at our clan page on this forum ( http://www.dayzrp.com/t-t-o-r-outpost-rangers ) and make the call, judging from our membership requirements and what our clan is all about.

If you think you have what it takes, send me an application with some details about yourself and I'll take it under consideration.

Do not for get the one at Kamyshovo on the docks. Food and medical is what I put most there time to time guns if I have help or a car to do the run.

I placed three tents in Kamenka about a week ago. All three are still standing, though mostly empty. I'll probably pack them up and re-establish the Cherno and Electro outposts.

T.O.R is currently working on rebuilding the outpost network. For now however, only the Chernogorsk one has tents and supplies. Will let you know when they're all back in working order.

Pik Kozlova (1 tent) and Electrozavodsk (2 tents) Outposts re-established and ready for stocking, sir!

Furthermore, Kamenka Outpost is open with 1 tent, but moved across the street, inside a walled yard next to the water pump. Thinking about moving that one to the docks though, to make it easier to access.

Edit - was unable to move the tent due to death by glitch.

The tents at Lake Prud are still standing. I don't know what happened to the T.O.R outposts. Last time I checked them they were gone.

Probably alpha bugs again.

Ok, guys. Think we have a tent problem. I pitched a tent again. Put morfine and painkiller in it then go away and after the restart I put in a mp5sd and couple of tank traps. Next day only the painkillers and the morfine are in there. Maybe a guy came along and looted exactly the mp5sd and the tanktrap. If not then tents don't save and you can easily dupe stuff. I am goin to test this by removing the painkiller and adding some tin cans.

Will report in next day.

over and out.

I don't think tents are duping items but they might not be saving new items. How long before the restart was it Oldman?

I know from experience that items may not save properly if you put them in a tent close before restart. However I do not know which timespan causes this problems. Thanks for testing it out and letting us know!

Ok, so I visited my tent again and it was reset to the first items I put in a painkiller and one morfine. So you can dupe whatever item you want. Lets face it this way our gameplay is bit broken. You guys can't resuply your outposts and all the clans can recycle there weapons unlimited. Explains why I stumbled on three dudes all with M249.

Rolle, this is a problem.

Link to comment

nope, but I used another tent some days later and it did not duped any items in it. I put some tank traps in there and a crosbow then I moved them after a restar to another tent. Next day tent was empty and did not dupe anything. So maybe its fixed. I say as TOR try out to rebuild the outpost. Maybe start in Cherno.
