Try launching ArmA 2 and ArmA 2 OA in that order to the main menu via Steam.

If this problem suddenly came from nowhere I would be kind of anxious.

You haven't downloaded any suspicious shit that has anything to do with Arma have you? :D

It came from nowhere :( No I haven't.

I have had a small error for a long time when I install the arma patch. It has always said wrong CD key but I have never had a problem from it.

Christ will I have to buy a new copy of the game?

Christ will I have to buy a new copy of the game?

I don't think you will have to buy another copy, don't worry! :D

Just try what I told you after your games have finished validating.

Try launching ArmA 2 and ArmA 2 OA in that order to the main menu via Steam.

Thanks that worked!

There is guides how to see in your regedit if your key/guid is there...

If it's not there, try re-install arma

No need Papa but thank you!

//This is solved :beer:

Great, Marking as solved then.

Solution: Validate both ArmA 2 and ArmA 2: Operation Arrowhead via Steam then launch both games to the main menu.

I tried installing beta patch 103718 as Spooner instructed (thank you for the help) but that did not fix it.

A fix for the CfgWorlds is found in this thread:

Solution: Complete reinstall of the game, deleting data from the registry files and un-installing the game. It's a long process and there might be an easier fix.

We currently use; ArmA 2 OA Beta Patch 103718.

You can find it here or you can use DayZ Commander.

I had updated the beta patch to the latest version and now downgrading does not work so sadly no.

Try this!

1. Exit Steam

2. Launch Steam as an administrator. You can do this by rightclicking on Steam.exe (located in C:\Program Files\Steam by default) and then clicking "properties".

3. Run ArmA again

Should I simply reinstall the old beta patch that dayzrp uses after those steps?

Sadly the method suggested by Connor did not work, I still get this message

And then it just shuts down.
