Trading events between player settlements and the TP

Recommended Posts

I just thought of this idea,

I suggest we have occasional trading missions between player settlements (when there are some in the game world) and the Tradepost which could create good RP and would be a way for players to become trading partners with the CTC and could allow for other people to get on a group's good or bad side both CTC and the player group in question. Also good opportunities for Council ambushes and such.

So, thoughts?

So you mean like convoys from the TP to player settlements? That would be a good idea and I know Tomeran was thinking of this back in the Epoch days, I don't know if it happened. However, with the TP other settlements soon I could see this being really good and providing more roleplay.

Yes from me!

Sure why not.

Sounds like a realistic thing to do trading between settlements.

And the risk of ambushes from bandits or council is always a risk.

Only issue I can see is settlements being on S1 and TP on S2 - that's solved by a simple server swap though :)

+ a million from me!

+1 from me, seems like a realistic and achievable idea, could also provide mercenary clans with much more work as they could be hired as armed escorts for protection.

Ah i forgot to add that this will make work for trading clans (dont think there are any at the moment) and mercenary clans too as they can act like couriers and guards between said settlements and the trade post.

Much like the traveling merchants you see on games like fallout or elder scrolls

All my yes.

Like Tam said however, its complicated by the fact that we'd have to swap servers. Get us some alternative settlements on S2 as well darnit!

But it works, and you'll probably see a fair few trading mini-events when the settlements are up. They'll be targets of opportunity, but bandits should probably think about attacking them, since some of them will be CTC convoys and attacking them may have TP-related consequenses. Identifying your targets as usual will come along the risk to attack these.

If there's no notable bandit presence online to provide potential ambushes, we might always, on occassion, provide the council to do this.

And here comes the part of the mercenarys and trader clans, the trader clan grabs the shit from TP and logs into S1 where the mercanary clan waits with vichles.

It looks simple on paper not sure how would it work in-game.
