US Applications / Age Blacklist

Question

iKarma    0

I noticed that all three servers were European, and I'm just wondering if my application decision will be affected since I'm American. I have good enough internet that lag won't be an issue, but I don't know if it's an EU only thing. Also, where do I see if I'm age blacklisted? I remember hearing about this server a while ago, but don't remember when.

Edit: Found some threads talking about outsiders being whitelisted, but nothing on whether being foreign affects consideration.

Nope, not at all. It is only judged by your actual app. If you go onto the whitelist tab, here: http://www.dayzrp.com/whitelist.php It will tell you if you are blacklisted etc.

Although, if you are 16 or older, then you won't be blacklisted for your age.

Your nationality wont effect whether or not your application will be accepted or not, it's all down to how well your application is written and how well you understand the server rules.

We have people from all around the world playing on the server and I've never heard of someone being turned away due to their nationality.

You wont be age blacklisted as long as you're over the age of 16, as it's stated on the whitelist page.

Thanks for the fast reply, people are quick here. It does answer the question. Also, the status doesn't say blacklisted, so I wasn't sure if it would be there or if there was a general list somewhere.

What age did you enter onto your account when you created it? I'm pretty sure it will just say it there, however I think it only does it after you attempt to whitelist.

Also, I'm trying to download the mod so I can play right when I get whitelisted if I do. I have all my installs on a separate hard drive than the default and the launcher won't let me enter the file paths to A2 and OA directories... I click on the bar but nothing happens and I can't enter the path.

I'm not sure how old I was. I'm 18 right now, so I don't think I was underage, but I don't remember how long ago it was.

Well, your account was made this month, so I doubt you have aged 2 years in this month :P

Hm. Can't remember if I made a new account, my usual login things worked, maybe the old one got deleted or something and I made a new one. Either way, I'll take it. Gives me a chance at playing.

Solution: Your nationality will not affect whether or not your application is considered, it's all based on how well your application is written as well as how well you explain the rules.
