Looking for suggestions for a good headset under $100

Hello fellow survivors. After owning a cheap headset for over 2 years I figured it's time for an upgrade after hearing my friends constantly nagging me about my mic picking up my game. I currently have my eyes on 2 headsets that seem pretty good. However, I'm still up for suggestions, as long as the headset is under $100 and please, if you own that headset let me know how you like them. Thanks and good luck out there!

Headset #1:

Headset #2:

You know, I dropped the cash on a Logitech G35 headset and, to be honest, I hated it. It didn't fit right, everything had this funky echo when it was in 7.1 mode, everything sounded shit shit in standard audio mode....plus as personal preference, I don't like noise cancelling. I'm a fairly paranois person and people actually managed to sneak up on me sing it....do not like.

Anyways, went and bought a H390 for 40 bucks and I couldn't be happier. Good sound quality, good microphone reception. My only bitch is the cord is on the left side and the PC is on my right...but I can't really blame that on the headset. :P It doesn't seem to pick up any residual game names from my end, no one has complained, and my friends sued to nag me on that too...though that headsets mic was so sensitive, I swear it could pick up the neighbors talking. :P

Of the two you linked....a friend of mine swears by Plantronics, and that's the cheaper one. Both of those will cover your ears entirely, if you don;t mind that, then it looks good to me. Though, because its a 7.1 surround simulating headset, you might get the same echo problems I did.

This is the head set I have been using for the past year

Pretty reliable with its wireless functions and really nice surround sound features for its price. Built in voice changing options and the best feature in my eyes, the ability to change your bass values through the buttons on the side of the headset.

I have the first headset option you posted. It feels nice over long periods of play, and sounds great.

I personally bought the Logitech G35. I think that it is an excellent headset for what I do. Yeah the 7.1 mode is a little weird but I just use standard mode and its fine. I personally like that its wireless as well but I guess its up to your preference.

I had the H390, it was a great headset for the money but, I prefer headsets that cover my ears fully. Judging from what I've seen, It looks like the Plantronic's headset is a great choice.
