What I want to know, what made you Role-Play in the first place?

When I was young, I used to pretend I was a real soldier on Call of Duty 4 fighting the enemies, and I enjoyed acting as a soldier so I began my search for roleplay. Years later, I got a gaming computer and found Island life, then I found this community :D

I like the concept of RPing and when i found out that there was a dayZ RP server i decided to apply :D.

I'd like to add that there were also many people who helped me when i started, (Special thanks to Nico from BoS for helping me improve my role play in the start)

Years later at 17 all my friends were playing DayZRP I Whitelisted months after all of them and this is my favourite RP game to date

I was looking on the internet. Saw the word roleplay. I was like "Oh, I wonder what that is." After many misleading searches that awarded me with porn websites, I finally found some legit info on the non-sexual kind of Roleplay.

I was interested. I joined a server in Jedi Outcast flagged for RP. The rest is history.

I started off as a kid, when I was sixteen in a game called SecondLife. Before that I always wrote short stories or fan fiction. At that time I always wanted to play a bad-ass character that could pretty much kick anyone's butt. It started off as a joke at first and I didn't quite take the whole RP thing seriously, but once people guided me through the whole thing and introduced me to RP properly. I started to really like it and I got myself into the most awesome and amazing RP plots.

Now I consider myself quite a veteran when it comes to RP and I still really enjoy doing it.

Back in 2012 dayzrp was just a server with a no kill on sight rule, you had to initiate.

It was the most fun PvP server I had ever played on so I invited some friends over from a different community. Then Rolle changed it up, he wanted to make use of the actualy dayzrp name and started to slowly enforce more and more roleplay. Eventually it became hardcore roleplay and that's how I started roleplaying.

Good old M107, buying cars and ghillies days. Those were the times.

My brother still commentates over his games. He's 20.

I have RP'ed on a lot of games before DayzRP and I basically found out about the community by googling "Dayz roleplay server" And here I am 9 months later with 145 euros donated, playing and talking with the most amazing people I know :)

I used to do pen'n'paper roleplay with some friends, a swedish game called "Eon". Was fun as hell.

Other then that, my whole online roleplaying experience comes from WoW, where I stuck around some 7 years on the RP server Earthen Ring(EU), playing as Coragon the half-drunken bartender(who ironicly ran a tavern called Haven. damn you CLF for your copyright infringement) and where I also ran the Stormwind City Guard and the Theramore Marines. :D

Good times.

I played and loved Dayz. After which I quickly decided it was the greatest game, ever. Though I felt it was being under utilized because of the potential of it being more than a PVP game. I started trying to communicate with people beside saying *Friendly* and actually getting into the survival aspect. This lead me to starting my own server and own little community where people would travel in packs and interact with one another. Obviously certain packs where hostile to others, but most would trade and interact with one another.

There wasn't really an In character or out of character thing, more it was just playing as survivors and had PVE / PVP / Trading, this was a kind of roleplay but nothing like this server.

It was a small group and eventually I got tired of dealing with the drama and costs of maintaining it. I then stopped playing Dayz for a while.

I wanted to get back into Dayz so I searched for Community dayz servers and stumbled upon a few other STH/CTH, then found DayzRP. After reading about it I knew it was the right server. I have never properly RP'd anything before so It was a new experience, but I just roleplayed as if I was in the apocalypse, which is my character Cadet Wilson

My friend found a newbie-friendly roleplay server on San Andreas Multiplayer. Learned the basics and have since been playing there for three years now. Then getting bored at constant deathmatching in DayZ, I decided to give it a go and hop on DayZRP. Basic aspects of roleplay in here and SA:MP are very similar, really liking it.

PsiSyndicate :troll:

*rolls eyes*

I use to play old school D&D. Had a group of friends that would get together have some beers and go on an adventure. I still remember some of the battles. My friends are not a-typical so it was always interesting.

We all took the time to make back stories and what not, the GM would give us extra exp for doing stuff out of game.

I tried to play forum D&D but it dose not have the same feel. I also played (got sucked into) FF11 MMO for a long time. But people don't role-play they just play their role.

DayZ gives enough structure and enough freedom to lend itself perfectly to role-play. The only limitation really is your imagination and the time to see it through.

TLDR: DayZ is a great platform for role-play

I first started RPing about 3-4 years ago on a Minecraft RP server. It has since went down but I kept with the whole RP thing.
