BattleEye not responding

Question

Squizzer    0

I had this problem when I started playing DayZRP however I forgot how to fix it (it took 4 day to eventually find a solution). Does anyone know any solutions to my problem.

I couldn't tell you. If you delete the content of your current Battleye folder and then download those two above and add them in, then it will be correct I believe.

How is this going for you buddy?

-edit- Silly Burgz, of course not he hasn't been online since.

When you do come back, I'd like to know what router/modem you use.

Let me help you out. First off: BE not responding has to do with you timing out usually. If your internet connection turns off for example BE will kick you for "BattlEye client not responding" or something along those lines.

Either use Puush or you can use the windows inbuilt screenshot tool, the Snipping Tool.

Go to the start menu and in the search box type 'snipping'. You can then save that and upload to Dropbox or any other image sharing website. I recommend Imgur.com.

The files are in there.

General troubleshooting checklist mode activated: Have you tried validating your install of the ARMA2: OA?

In order to verify your game cache, go to your 'Library' and find 'ArmA 2: Operation Arrowhead'.

Once you find it, right click the name and go to the 'Properties' tab.

This will open up the properties window. Go to the third tab that says 'Local Files' where you will be presented with the following options:

  • Browse Local Files
  • Backup Game Files
  • Delete Local Game Content
  • Verify Integrity of Game Cache

Click on the last option to begin the validation process. This may take a few minutes.

OK its in progress but what does this do?

It fixes any broken/corrupt files. By validating it should hopefully fix any problems.

I did it and it says '14 files failed to validate and will be reacquired'

What does this mean?

It means that they weren't fully functioning, either way, it's fixing it for you now :P

Should I verify it again then to check

Or will it just work?

OH NO

I DO NOT KNOW HOW BUT WHEN I LAUNCH DAYZRP I GET A MESSAGE SAYING ARMA IS NOT INSTALLED CORRECTLY AND COULD NOT LOCATE ARMA 2 INSTALLATION. IT THEN TELLS ME TO MANUALLY LOCATE THE INSTALLATION. WHAT HAS HAPPENED?!

THIS DID NOT HAPPEN BEFORE I ALIDATED THE THING

Open arma 2 to the main menu then close it down,

Open arma 2 OA to the main menu then close it now

now try dayzrp again

OP, maybe try turning off your firewall for a short amount of time whilst you try to connect?

You f*d up your ArmA installation. Never delete game files unless you know what you're doing. There's a reason BattlEye has dedicated uninstaller in the Windows Control Panel.

He didn't delete any, he just validated them. It's fine but he still has the problem from the beginning.
