Good place for a coming newbie?

Recommended Posts

New and waiting on my whitelist application to either be accepted or denied (hopefully accepted).

Was wondering what good areas in the way of camps and all I could visit and all first.

Hey Barre, there has actually been a few threads already created asking the same thing. I highly suggest you to use the search function next time before creating a thread just because we don't want duplicate threads.

Here is one for example:

http://www.dayzrp.com/t-where-are-the-camps&highlight=camps

At the moment, Prud lake is a hot spot for Server 1 (S1), people usually hang out around that area, here look at this thread also:

http://www.dayzrp.com/t-prud-lake-by-kakan

I hope I gave you some what of an idea where to go, I highly suggest you just stick around Prud lake and around Stary Sobor and NWAF, they are the hot spots.

Good luck with your application and I hope to see you in-game soon!

Ah, sorry for the duplicate.

I had mostly made this due to needing the one post and all, and I couldn't really think of anything else.

You can either go to Prud or to NWAF but now for the 1.3.4 update, there is a trader post near Pulkovo so many people go there, I found a survivor in Berezino when I started playing, died right after though. :(

I would actually say to avoid encounters if you can for the first week or two.

Time and time again I see new players get whitelisted and imitatively go the the most high traffic areas.

This is BAD RP.

Give yourself time to adjust to DayZRP. Spend some time developing your story so you actually have in game things to talk about. When you do meet someone, THEN ask about in game locations.

Personal Example: I took a long break, in that time my clan founded a new base camp. I waited to go there until after talking to a few people, asking them if the Free Medics are still around. Figuring out who to avoid, I got robbed a few times before finding a friendly person. After I found out about it IN GAME, I then went to the new camp.

I think this way will make your time here a lot more memorable.

Like BobitoZ said its not always the best thing to go and visit the high traffic areas straight away but rather go around the map and see where the road takes you. I can remember for about 2 weeks everyday all I used to do was travel from the NWAF through Stary and to Berezino and all the way back again. Whilst doing this I would meet different survivors, get robbed, get random lifts from people and indulge in great conversations.

What I would do is to RP to find the camps yourself then look on the forums. It adds fun and excitement of what you will find :D
