Can't Join Server

Question

Sir Tiger    0

Question/Problem: I just got whitelisted, and I tried joining the server. Before ArmA even booted up I got this error:

File @DayZRP\mod.cpp, line 3: '.rp': '.' encountered instead of '='

I found the cpp file that is causing the problem, but my question is, how do I fix this?

Is the problem on the Mod or Standalone: Mod

Does this problem occur on other public DayZ/ArmA/SA servers as well: No, it's a DayZRP mod specific problem.

How long have you had this problem: Since a few minutes ago, first time I tried to join.

What have you done to fix this already: I found the location of the cpp file causing the problem, but am hesitant to try to open it as I don't know what program to open it with.

Hi, you need to delete the .cpp file.

Program Files (x86 if 64-bit) > Steam > SteamApps > Common > ArmA 2 OA > @DayZRP

Then delete the file, launch dayzrp.exe (the launcher) and allow it to re-patch itself.

Ok, I just opened it in notepad, but I can't find what might be ".rp" on line 3.

Here is what is in the cpp file:

dir = "@DayZRP";

name = "DayZRP Mod";

actionName = $STR_MOD_LAUNCHER_ACTION;

action = "http://www.dayzrp.com";rp.com";

Ok wow, you replied before I could update my info :)

Thanks for the help, I will definitely try that.

It went fine, thanks. I got it working and then forgot to say it was working in the thread.

This can be marked as "solved".
