Application Help.

Recommended Posts

Recently my application got declined because of the following "Insufficient NLR explanation. Please add time and distance how long/far away you need to stay from the area of your death. Insufficient KoS explanation. Please give examples of initiations (robberies), revenge rights etc".

Can someone please read my newest explanations to see if theirs anything they would add to make sure it gets accepted?

The NLR (no life rule) means that after your character dies any previous memory about your death is erased. This includes your gear and any revenge rights. Running back to your body or coming within 1km (1000m) while the situation is still occurring isn’t allowed. You also need to make sure you have waited 90-120 minutes before you return to the area. If your body has disappeared due to a restart and the hostilities aren’t happening you can return freely. You may not personally hunt down the character that killed you unless you have had previous hostilities with them before your death. Remember you remember your friends, clan and any enemies you have made prior to the event of your death.

For example:

You're taken hostage by a group of thieves. You're legs are broken and they're forcing you to be there personal slave. You think about the situation and decide that it would be best to try and escape. As you run out of the thief's base one of his friends spots you trying to escape and you are shot. After you respawn you may not hunt down the thief's that killed you.

The KOS (kill on sight) rule means that you have killed another character without any proper explanation or without making any proper contact with the other character. If you're robbing another character and they're fully complying to all of your demands you may not kill them.

There is a similar rule called RDM (random death match) what makes this rule different is that when you RDM someone you have made proper contact yet there's still no valid reason to kill the other player.

List of valid reasons to enter combat with another player:

They’re robbing you.

You’re robbing them and they’re not complying to your demands, this would lead to an execution.

The character has attacked you or your allies within the last two hours.

You’re trying to rescue a player being robbed or threatened. (Make sure that the person you’re trying to save won’t be injured during this process)

Example 1: Robbery Scenario 1

You’re walking in Zelenogorsk and spot another character that is alone. He looks very well geared and vulnerable. You approach behind him and tell him to drop his weapon and his backpack and follow the rules. He’s following your order perfectly but you’re feeling he’s acting suspiciously and you shoot him. This is an example of KOS because the player was following your orders yet you still killed him because you felt suspicious.

Example 2: Revenge Rights

Your clan member tells you about how he just got robbed over team speak and he describes the robber to you. Later you spot the robber looting the hospital, you want revenge. You immediately kill him with a bullet to the head. This is KOS as you didn’t see the robber yourself and therefore is not a valid revenge right, you have only been told about the robber. You must initiate with the player again if you wanted to kill them.

Example3:

You're walking along the streets of Chernogorsk and spot a group ahead that you've never seen before. You don't want to make any contact with them and you have recently just found your first ak-47. You shoot them both and leave the scene. You have just killed on sight.

When you say reasons to kill someone 'they have attacked you or your allies' you need to be more clearer on this. Do you mean clan mates?

Your revenge rights explanation is wrong. If the player is in your clan, then you share KOS rights, if he was robbed within the last two hours then you're fine to shoot the robber. However, be sure to confirm your target.

Example 1 sounds like RDM.Others seem like alright KOS examples.

Your revenge rights are still wrong. If he had robbed a clan member within the last 2 hours and you shoot him then it is legit as the second he robbed your clan member the you and the rest of your clan gain KoS. But you need to make sure that your clan member who got robbed has a radio to tell you this otherwise it is meta gaming.

I don't think he edited them here on the thread because there's nothing on the bottom right that says when it was last edited.

OP, do you need any more help/advice with your application?
