I see a lot of threads from people asking for help with their white list applications. Is there any sort of guidelines as to the type and amount of help we can give?.

There is a great guide right HERE that helps making a good whitelist application. You can always point them to this guide or use your own experience to help out people.

You can give tips and explain things, but not point out errors and fix the application for them by rewriting things.
