House of the Damned

The low chanting filled the air, rising and falling as the chanters began to stand raising their hands toward the sky. Soon they all stood, stamping their feet to the ground, clapping their hands and waving their arms as the chanting reached a crescendo of sound. As their cries reached near fever pitch a hooded man walked out onto the stage, stood for a brief moment and then reached out with one hand. Immediately the chanting stopped and the audience stood silently watching the figure.

“Behold” he intoned.

From behind him walked two men, hauling on heavy chains, which in turn were hooked to a large pallid man, whose shredded chest and exposed organs gave away his undeath state. Pulling him forward the two held the zombie in place, despite its struggles to approach the audience.

“And now, the test” stated the hooded figure.

He reached into a large wooden box by his feet and carefully pulled out a mass of writhing snakes. Gingerly he walked toward the restrained zombie and placed the creatures into his outstretched hands. Immediately the snakes became frenzied, biting the hands and forearms of the undead creature. The zombie paid no attention to the dozens of bite marks, instead his gaze remained focused on the cowled figure.

After a long minute of silence, punctuated by the occasional hiss, the zombie’s mouth opened and it let out a long low groan.

The cowled man turned and faced the audience “BEHOLD” he shouted “He is unhurt by the demon creatures. He stands there with enough poison to kill an ox, unafraid and unscathed. He can show us the way! RELEASE HIM!”

The man sank to his knees in front of the creature as the chains were loosened and then removed. The audience began to chant as it stepped forward with outstretched arms. Grabbing the cowl the undead gripped the man’s neck and pulled.

As the chanting again reached fever pitch the zombie turned toward them, covered now in blood and as it began to walk toward them, a shadowy breath escaping it's brittle lips.

Special Thanks to Rob!

One thing though... I have found your stories all over the internet.

http://zombiestories.wordpress.com/2010/11/22/decisions/ (this one even has a different version here: http://macabreofwriting.createaforum.com/index.php?action=profile;u=183;area=showposts - post 2) (The Dark Companion)

http://zombiestories.wordpress.com/2009/08/07/demon-creature/ (The House of the Damned)

http://zombiestories.wordpress.com/2009/09/04/self-control/ (The Villa)

Even your whitelist story uses a sentence or two from another story: http://quizlet.com/16756172/flashcards - http://puu.sh/5AgVi.png (The Last Great War)

In some of your stories you changed some sentences a bit, but some stories are all over the web, posted under different names, in different formats, bits changed...

Well, one of your stories (The Dark Companion) has been copied about 10 times already. Google it. Under different names, with changed made (like the one I linked)... Also, how do you get to publish them on zombiestories.wordpress.com? Is that your website?

I thought you said you wrote them all recently.

On the About page it does say Rob but I couldn't find thesuperliam. Care to point me in the right direction?

Forgive me for being suspicious but this wouldn't be the first time.

If these stories really are yours, then I suggest googling The Dark Companion. It's been copied about 10 times, in different ways with things added or removed.

Sure but you may need to email rob, after the falling out you can see there was a huge gap in stories because we weren't collaborating and he wasn't exactly pleased

I'll leave it at this. From what I've seen you write (on your whitelist application) that I couldn't find on Google, I don't doubt you'd be able to write such stories even if these aren't your own.

I'd love to see you write one based on in-game events! :)

Thanks I do appreciate that, and also I story I putting up on the forums isn't out on the blog yet so wed/thurs you can check and see that I added it first got added! :)

Would be good to erase the last tiny bit of doubt. :D

Sorry, didn't mean to put you on the spot... or well, I guess I did mean to do that. Let's just say I'm a skeptical person by nature. When reading your fourth story all of a sudden I had the impulse to check.

Seems unlikely you'd go through all these hoops just to convince us these stories are yours. From whomever they are, they're good, so thanks for posting them. :P

For the record 3/4 with rob and I doing the 4th. But I appreciate the benefit of the doubt, and will make sure to like you when that story goes up on the blog. Thanks for having my corner :)
