Battlefield 4 What To Do..... What To Do?

Hey guys as a lot of you all know the Xbox One is coming out soon and so is Battlefield 4 for the so called "Next Gen" consoles.

After Unlocking all attachments, upgrades for vehicles and maxing out all classes for Battlefield 3 I got bored very quickly with it so I then went back to Black Ops 2 to complete my remaining 2 prestiges. I then bought Call of Duty: Ghosts and it is the worst game ever made (IMO). My friend all play console and call of duty. I'm pretty sure I can convert them to battlefield but definitely not PC due to the price tag associated in purchasing a Computer capable of running the game.

Current (Game Related) PC Specs:

4GB DDR3 1333 Ram

Amd Phenom 965 4.2 GHz stock cooling not overclocked (yet)

Ati 6850 Graphics Card (1GB GDDR5)

500GB 7200 RPM HDD (330GB free space)

Windows 7 Home Premium 64 Bit

So not exactly "brute-force the pentagons nuclear launch keys in 3.8 seconds flat" but at least most of this matches or exceeds the system requirements and I am planning to upgrade later on within 6 months or so.

I'm at a loss on what to do as I'm pretty sure my PC can handle Battlefield 4 or if I should:

a)Get the Xbox One and play it on there which means I spend $600 on the console + $70 for the game + $60 per year for live ($730 Total) and keep playing with my friends

b)Get it for PC which would be $70 and I would no longer be playing with my friends

c)Hold my breath and deal with 24 man, horrid graphics and slow paced Xbox 360 gameplay which would be $70

What do you think as I'm at a loss on what I should do at the moment....

Go on PC, and see what happens IMO. It's better. Even if you lose friends, you can always make new ones on PC.

By friends I mean people I see on a day to day basis but +1 to the PC

Upgrade PC and get it on PC?

PS4 hardware is not the BEST compared to PC, it runs BF4 abit higher then 720P on lowish settings. this specs will do that with no issues.

beside 700$ is more than enough for a gaming PC and a upgrade.

i think for a amd PC 700$ is enough to run this game on high settings.

Although I always thought that $1000 - $1200 was to going rate for a decent gaming PC?

Nah, you can build one in 700 too, and less for gaming.

since you have AMD CPU your mobo should be fine.

what i think you should do

new AMD CPU

new AMD GPU

more RAM (8GB 1333mhz)

new PSU if needed.

Arrgh win 8.1

and you are good to go.

my recommendation

I would need a new mobo though because mine is an AM3 while the CPU in that parts list is an AM3+. However I do appreciate the help :)
