Standalone soon out what you gonna do?

You think you still will be playing on the dayzrp.com server?

Or do you directly switch to DayZ Standalone?

Basically all the struggling bugs are removed, i see no point in playing dayz mod after release of standalone tbh.

Along the hacker and bug fact rocket said there will be two builds at least , one alpha build of the standalone that is for testing new stuff and one regular build of the standalone that runs flawless.

So he even got a new test platform for the standalone, in the past we tought dayz mod will do that in the future but since he never introduced the dog patch i think he switches completely to standalone alpha version to test things out.

And tbh who wants dogs now along all the bugs we have, he rlly should concentrate on the standalone to get it right imo.

Most likely I'll just stick to the standalone. DayZ, as good as it is, has a ton of issues that im really looking forward to being solved in the standalone. And the new features wont hurt as well.

Im hoping though that dayzrp will change to the standalone as well, but im not entirely sure how that works.

For DayZRP to change to the standalone they need new server files. And i don't really think rocket will realese those to the public. Atleast not at the same time.

I'll be playing the mod for a bit because I don't think my computer will be able to run it smoothly and I have to wait a bit for my new one. :)

As soon as it offers dedicated servers I will switch to it and never look back.

Do you have any idea when they might have dedicated servers ready?

Only Rocket knows that, probably together with alpha release, but nobody knows how it will work and what performance we can expect from it.

Problem is, the standalone wont launch with modsupport. So I´ll probably be hanging around the DayZMod as well since there are fun servers where the map has been modified.

What you mean by dedicated servers? i mean there will ONLY be dedicated servers.

"As soon as it offers dedicated servers I will switch to it and never look back."

Dayz has to have servers to release it so it has to have dedicated servers at release or it wont be a release? Since it wont have private servers it has to be dedicated ones or am i wrong?

Or do you mean by dedicated servers like every server got his own database?

I think when rocket launches the game again with a HIVE system it will fail in long terms, we need small communitys like this here on dayzrp.com not a big HIVE we all play in thats just BS.

Yeah, I meant it as a dedicated = standalone, with it's own database.
