Detailed description of the events:

I was looking for cars when I stumbled into the black lake bar where I had seen a man a few nights ago who had containers in the upstairs. I walked up to the front door and opened it, it wasn't locked and there was nothing blocking it, and walked up the stairs without paying attention only to be greeted by the sound of both a rule and femur being broken and ruining my pants. I cursed, splinted my leg, and had the boys steal everything before writing this report.

I do apologize. Yes i admit,  it was my beartrap.

I didn’t know it was going to end that way. I have been robbed several times (by the same person) I was just in the phase of moving. I just wanted to show a lesson to the robber who robbed me several times. I'm so sorry for your leg and your pants. It wasn't meant to be. enjoy my things (what’s left) I hope you get right and useful. I deeply apologize once again.

In fact, you state you were robbed several times. Was the pub your base, and if so, was it walled off, or closed in any way? Or, was it open?

Yes pub was my *base* but it was just locked by picklock. no walls. I was a hostage one time and i had to open a door.. but no worries, ill move on and left this behind me:)

SUMMARY

On a fine Chernarussian morning, @Novi walks into the pub at Black Lake having previously seen storage containers within. He opts to check again to see if he can find anything, only to be met with a bear trap on the top of the staircase.

Attempted Invalid Kill | While the Black Lake pub is @MrHar's base, Rule 4.10 states that for any injuries or kills caused by landmines or beartraps to be considered valid, the traps in question must be placed inside a walled and closed area. The accused admits that the pub was not secured or walled off but merely protected by a lockpick, which does not qualify under the definition of the rule. As a result, his placing of a bear trap inside the building constitutes an attempted invalid kill. Rule 4.10 is quoted below to support this outcome.

4.10 Deployable weapons such as land mines, bear traps and similar items work in two different ways:

1. When deployed by the base owners inside a walled off and closed base, these weapons will be treated as defensive measures and thus any kills done by them will be considered valid even without any kill rights
2. When deployed anywhere or by anyone else they will be treated the same as any other weapon, so for example:

• If someone gets injured or killed by your mine or trap which you placed in the middle of a town or a forest, it will be treated the same way as if you shot/killed them on sight with a gun
• If an enemy you have valid kill rights on steps on your mine, the kill will be considered valid
