Diamond Popular Post bur Posted April 1, 2021 Diamond Popular Post Share Posted April 1, 2021 (edited) Transporters Prefab K & R Mech shop started about 20 years ago and has lived through many disasters, through the years, they have modernised the business to provide other services as well as hiring people qualified to carry out these jobs. And for this vast diverse set of people and skills, needs a relevant base of operations. We have decided to make a prefab for our roleplay base in Novaya. In this thread I have outlined the main objects we have added for the other council members to view and vote on. We operated out of The scrapyard east of Novaya for years, importing and exporting vehicles illegally taking full advantage of the civil unrest and corruption along the borders and after the business being very successful, the boys decided that it was time for some improvements. The bigger the business grew, the more pests started to sniff around, so security was also another driving factor. Here is a video outlining all of the new objects added for our Prefab. Spoiler Prison Walls The first thing that can be noticed is the prison walls we have added, these are to keep cars inside and also to reduce the sheer amount of vanilla walls needed to protect the base, they look nice and you can also see into them through the upper part. Mad Max Bus Entrance This is one of the two entrances that we have put in, it consists of a nice wrecked bus, a few broken down cars and some tyres on the floor. There is also a sign welded into the broken cars that reads "cars trader" Which is a nice and relevant touch. Most scrapyards IRL have pretty tatty and mad entrances so we decided to go with something like that. Containers Second Entrance Here we have a second entrance which cars can drive through as we have tested it. They fit nicely and have been positioned perfectly by @General Rickets to make sure they are not clipping into any of the other walls or objects around. Shelter and Public Rest/wait area This was added for the customers to be able to sit down after their journey as they waited for the service they came for, we added some benches too as well as an improvised metal shelter. Upstairs Office In here is where we write our receipts and store the paperwork, we have added two billboards on the walls and a Pipsi vending machine to tailor to the staffs pop habits. There is also a cash register and a sofa for maxxin relaxxin and RP. Car garages Both garages have had metal sheet welded to the back doors and main front hangar doors, this is purely for security reasons and we tried to use the least objects as well as keeping it looking nice and tidy. There are two metal fences stacked on each other per hangar door, and one sheet metal per back door. I have used screenshots here just so its easier to see what we added. Spoiler Tool Bench and Tools Pidgeon hole This is one of the main sets of objects added for pure looks and RP value, it consists of a few tools you would find a mechanic shop as well as a storage locations for different smaller tools. I love it personally. Spoiler Scaffolding and Digger We have added a scaffolding which is used for easier access to the roofs as we frequent having helicopters and using the ladders was irritating and can be a problem in hostile situations. We also have a digger as it is an old scrapyard and the digger would of been needed to move various broken vehicles, it also has a few metal piles around it to make it look like its had recent use. @General Rickets did a good job of placing all these objects so they look nice and in place without clipping anything. There is also a bridge that connects both of the roofs to eachother for more QOL. Stone Watchtower This was added as the mechanic shop has always had a watchtower, always. So to remove the need to build one, we added one into the Prefab, it fits in with the rustic environment and is there for overwatch and a place for BBC to do his interviews in peace and quiet. Objects Placed We have used a total of 96 objects, we did try to keep under the 100 line and most of them have an active and clear use. They were all carefully picked to keep with the scrapyard aesthetic and to not have things that are too farfetched. On a further note, if this does get accepted we would need allocated time to move the cars out and take down the original walls to prevent further issues.
