World

• Tisy military area is now covered in toxic fallout which is slowly spreading east towards Kamensk with the wind. You will need full biohazard suit and a gas mask to enter the area. Protective clothing is being sold at the civilian trader.

 

Fixes

• Code spring cleaning
• Added missing black medic bag to trader
• Increased spawn of SVT40 civilian rifle
• Tuned down spring temperatures
• Fixed wrong lifetime of red cross protector case
• Removed old lore group clothing

Can't say enough how against this toxic zone thing i am, very restrictive, some of the features are cool, nice to have BMW back and such, more doors a great addition too.

Youre essentially forcing people out of their home and roleplay place, which i find damaging, long term.

I am sure the well known RP hubs of Tisy and Kamensk will be just fine. No major towns/cities were hit by the toxic mod. The mod will serve as an impactful fear factor on the server while giving people choices on how to deal with it and create RP around it, which has already happened when group leaders met IG and talked about it.

I fully understand what you are saying but i also believe that from my experience in other servers with the same mod it is very restrictive and the fun/fear factor of it wears off extremely quick, I also find that it is implemented to push a lore narrative (fair) which i do not fully enjoy myself, but this is just a personal opinion of mine alone, and that is for a different thread when it gets to that point.

I just hope the toxic zone isn't as buggy this time around. 

 

For clarity.:

• It didn't show up for some players visually.
• People well outside of it randomly got sick.
• A lot of gear that you think would work to protect you does not actually protect you. Examples being any modded gasmask/nbc kit that didn't come from the core game, as the modded in extra NBC sets don't have whatever flag the toxic mod creator uses. I'm not a mod, don't know the words, but basically you might be wearing what would roleplay wise be a full protected set of gear, yet it doesn't work to protect you.
• People would just cheese the mechanics, run in and do all their looting, run out, then apply the cure. Which makes zero roleplay sense, but was done because mechanically it can 'save' you.

Of course i care about lore.. i'm surprised that you even came to that conclusion from what i said, i very much care about the lore, but there is some stuff from a storytelling and lore perspective that i dont enjoy, and i think that's fair enough, no one has to share that opinion and to say that i don't because of not liking a story is.. well, strange for me,

What does toxic zone entail? Is there a visual effect to show that it’s present? Is there a map we can look at to see the areas to avoid? Do we have to wear full NBC? Or can we wear gas masks?
