Buried Items

Just a quick question. How long do buried items last before they despawn?

I believe it is 7 days without interaction, so I'd check back frequently.

Because people will bury shit and forget about it, and then we're plagued with hundreds of underground stashes forgotten to time

Also because buried stashes are very hard to find unlike other storage forms. So it was balanced out by shortening lifespan drastically so it's only used as temporary storage.

Honestly with the removal of most base building I would think that at least 3 days would be okay. 
Although I will be the first to admit that it might have a heavy effect on the economy

Like Roland said, it’s a tiny dirt mound in the ground that can be built in 10 seconds with shovels so 1 day is the counter-effect of it being so easy
