Add Tasers to Police Stations

Tasers were added with expansion, assuming they work as intended, please add them to police spawns along with their ammunition.

Oh yes, trust me they work ? Ask @Duplessis and @Hofer. I'd like to see them added to the police spawns, they'll be great if someone decides to make a police group ?

Sounds like a great idea, +1 as it allows people to carry both lethal and non lethal options in making the mean streets of Chernarus safe!

+1 I'm all for additional less lethal options especially with the Police group making their comeback in the server.

It would honestly be a blessing for cops (or in a wider sense anyone going for a LTL, less than lethal, option) because right now as alternative you'd have to carry around some bean bag filled shotgun.

People prolly go for other setups there. A pistol holster-ready taser is just more convenient and it would encourage law enforcement or pacification RP for cops for example as they then have a viable LTL option added opposed to shooting or having to carry beanbag shotties.

I also dont think we devalue the beanbag shotties by adding tasers because tasers seem good for close range stuff while bean bag shotties are maybe good for riots and range, so there is no "competition".

Fully agree that we should add tasers. More options for non lethal takedowns are always great for roleplay. If someone decides to non comply you can taser them and continue roleplay. I think the reason beanbags aren't used is because they can kill if used improperly and are simply inefficient whereas tasers are very efficient.

Yes.

 

It would also be good for the police to use this to knock people out in game instead of having to shoot people. Would provide nice rp.

I'm all for this, so long as people understand that they're definitely weapons and should be treated as such, so no random taserings. ?

No from me. Unless we're ready to change the rules for tasers. They are weapons but non lethal and clearly non lethal unlike the shotgun that can use rubber slugs. So if a Cop Character tazes someone. Does the person get kill rights? or does he need to initiate? 

Anyways, cool but no unless admins write rules for them first.

Don't see why we need a rule for this, tasing somebody is a direct hostile action that grants kill rights, as peril said:

Tazers are basically guns. Since shooting someone with a bean bag (without an initiation) is considered to be an attempted invalid Kill, same thing goes for Tazers. 

So just like any other weapon, you need to initiate. 

No need to create a separate rule for an item that falls under the weapon category.

I could get behind this, allowing for both police force rp as well as easier methods of inducing hostile rp without having someone instantly die.
