Hi all! couple of question

Hi all,

im just reinstalling DayZ after years. Back in time i was really excited to play but the Vanilla days left me unsatisfied with a walking simulator.

Just discovered about the modded server and this RP server. Used to play for decades on Ultima Online Hard RP server back in the days so im happy to have found this community. Never had VoiP RP but hope to integrate fast. By the way im Luca from Italy and in the next days i will forward the whitelist request.

 

Just have a couple of question:

- Is it possible to play without the Livonia DLC?

- Checked the lore (not in depth yet) and what i understood is that Livonia, Chernarus and Cernyelen are not related so basically can i just play my charachter on Chernarus, right?

- Is it possible to read the background history (for whitelist) of someone to have an idea of how it should be? Since im going to play an european foreigner, guess i should arrive in Chernarus at the beginning of 2020 during the resurgence of the frenzied flu?

- Since i didn't play for years, is it suggested to play a bit on other server to get in touch with commands and stuff?

Yes, we don't use Livonia.

Yes, set your character to Chernarus as that's the only server we have open as of right now.

Under the "DayZ" tab there's a tab called "Characters", you should be able to read peoples characters and their bios, giving you an example of how you could make yours
As for your lore question, all I'd say is read the lore thoroughly, and check the timeline.

No need, it's quite an easy game to learn control wise. Any questions we have a #help channel in Discord where people are quite helpful.
