I'm always Curious why everyone Joined or how you found to community! This is mainly for General Conversation feel free to share!

I roleplayed on many dayz servers before but none of them lasted long and most of the roleplay on the other servers were shocking. Group of friends found this server and told me about it so I applied along with them. Since then I've only ever roleplayed DayZ here. The roleplay is a lot better than the other servers I've played, so I stuck here.

I've been roleplaying on various games for a while and saw someone on youtube playing this server and it looked fun so I joined.

I come and go from the server if I feel I need a break, but usually come back because it's such fun (most the time)

After watching of Mr Moon’s videos from 2015-2016 IIRC. And feeling like the mix of interaction and PvP is the way DayZ should be played.

Back in 2015 I was playing a lot on another DayZ server that encouraged roleplay, but did not have any rules for it. There was some roleplay, but it was not exactly what I was looking for. I enjoyed encounters with people way more than the usual KOS mindset that was on public servers. I was talking about this with @Knight and he than recommended me to apply for DayZRP. I filled in my whitelist, got accepted and never left again.

Back in 2015, before I got banned for being a silly goober,  I saw a MrMoon video titled "The Plissken Brothers'' or something. Thought that it was the coolest idea I've ever seen and decided to look it up and apply.

I was watching Frankie videos back in 2013 and enjoyed how he had an interaction first mindset when it came to playing the game. 

So I quit Minecraft and signed up after convincing my mum to spare me the cash for Arma 2

Got into DayZ back in 2013 after watching FrankieonPC's videos on YouTube. Only was able to play the game last year when I had the money and a strong enough computer. 

I found the server via Google. And so here I am. I love to RP.

Knew about the community since like 2013 from the good old PsiSyndicate, as well as some of MrMoon's videos. Didn't join because I was under-age and thought i wouldn't get accepted. Then, at the end of 2018 I saw PsiSyndicate's videos from here again, and decided to sign up.

I sadly cannot remember why I joined, or how I came across the community, but I will happily explain why I stayed.

I joined an old group called "The Cavaliers" - hence the forum name, we were a group of aristocratic British, with a few Europeans, men who joined forces to repair the world in a formal manner, we were also experienced gunmen too. The roleplay we all had together was stunning, and our leader @Aristocrat (which I seem to be complimenting far too much) was such a friendly and funny guy. After taking a short hiatus from the server after a while I found out the group had been disbanded, which left me feeling quite sad truth be told.

I lost a lot of motivation to continue playing after the group I got along with was no longer around, but after several years I've decided to come back, and the server's even better than I remember.

Can't say I came here because of some YouTuber because I didn't actually know about DayZRP until it was mentioned it to me. I came here with some friends in hopes of chasing that RP experience we were looking for. Found it and haven't looked back. I've made some great friends here on DayZRP and continue too everyday.

Always wanted to be part of a role playing community, and I had experience from a now long defunct community called Aftermath UK back in the 0.62/63 era. 

Fast forward to now, and I decide to stop being a console pleb, build a PC and apply. And it's been a blast!

For @Cas's sweet ass. I saw that he had signed up for the community, so I decided to sign up as well 4 days later to make sure that I could juice him in-game.

 

Jokes aside,

I've know about this community and lurked on it from time to time since late 2014; but I didn't sign up and create an account on it until early 2016, mainly due to the fact that I was completely burned out with the game (both mod and standalone). I instead role-played on one of the biggest GTA:SA role-playing servers for 2 years until my love for DayZ was re-kindled in 2016.

Finding pandi with psi was the first time I heard of this server so like 2013 . I was playing dayz on a shit laptop at the time so I hopped on DayzRP so I could lag around and not get KOS’d Joined 2014 been hooked since
