Community is full of toxic people trying to get others banned.

Recommended Posts

The community is full of toxic members trying to get others banned because they have gear fear and ooc dislike them for other reasons. I strongly believe in not reporting people in bad rp and other reasons, only bullshit like obvious kos.

Sounds like a discussion needed to happen ?

Very true, as long as it’s not a major rulebreak you should always try to talk it out and offer advice instead of getting someone banned. How they respond to the advice/talk should be how you decide if you go through with the report.

I 10000% agree in this, people should talk “reports” out more often instant of trying to get people banned.

The real firefights have always been on the forum.

It do be like that sometimes but I wouldn't say the community is full of toxic people. Seems like a bit of an overreaction.

I really think this is facts lol. Too much anger about such little things, like I've seen people make a whole report on something small which could be prevented in game, but OH WELL

Naw, I was the one you mowed with the svd. I'm not mad, i'm not gonna report anyone. But it just reminded me of people going "i'm reporting this dude and getting him banned" just cos they are mad. "Roleplay" is meant to replicate irl, people getting other people permed for "rule play" or "bad rp" is retarded

The community is also full of toxic people that doesn't follow our rules.

It's all a matter of perspective.

Apart from kos, racism, cheating and meta, breaking what rules is toxic?

I'd say rule 1.1 is pretty toxic when you break it.
The point Hofer makes is that all these rules are set here for a reason. Breaking those rules can surely be seen as being toxic to the staff team, as it's their way of making sure everything stays in control. Big ol' middle finger to the writer of the rules kind of thing.

Cmon now man, you’re here to have a good time and enjoy rp. As long as you’re following the rules and influence others to have fun, at the end of the day that’s all that matters. Put all the negativity aside, enjoy yourself.

BadRP, abuse of game mechanics, ruleplay (when it's actually ruleplay), rdm, nlr and probably the rest of the rules.

1.1 , power gaming and so on , i'd say not playing by the rules most of us follow is quite toxic.

Yeah the entirety of rule 1 and 2 are both toxic when broken, but rule 3 and 4 can push people into getting permanently banned while it could be avoided if both parties went into help desk and talked.

False report too (when it's actually a false report)

I think I might have understated what rules when broken are toxic. I dont mean to come of as raged rn. Like I can understand all rules have a purpose and time to be used, but perma banning someone over "not initiating over the entire group" or something else won't get them to reconsider their choices. I know loads of people saying "ill get him permd cos his boys tried to perm me/ my friend".

If this would be the case, I'd suggest sending evidence to the Game Master team if a report about said person went up.

You only get a permaban if you get to 30 warning points. Breaking a rule will get you 10 points that expire in a month. So no one will get permabanned for just breaking one rule. Unless ofc special occasions like hacking.

I like to take a healthy 4-5 steps back from everything that might have left a strange taste in my mouth. Consider the options. Consider what may have bothered me and then I ask that person what they think about those same things.. That being said it does take a person that is receptive to potential criticism which is not a quality every person has.

You mentioned people getting banned for ruleplay is dumb, I think that if it’s done intentionally time and time again that it’s toxic for the sever. I don’t disagree with you that this server has a few bitter / toxic people, but I don’t think it’s all namely for the reasons you mentioned. I agree with others though if you know people intentionally trying to get people banned because of OOC hate, then maybe take it to the staff in the dms.

It's a gaming community, so there are of course going to be people that are toxic towards other people. There's nothing we can really do about it except encourage people to respect one another, regardless of any disagreements that they may have with each other; and punish those who actively go out of their way to be toxic towards other people.

I personally hate everyone equally, but that's just me ❤️

This is the comment of a man who never had a random person just walk in the middle of a firefight.
