Sapphire Commodore Posted June 10, 2020 Sapphire Share Posted June 10, 2020 (edited) Hello, been awhile since I played until recently. So Hi! Was playing and got raided via someone with a wooden splitting axe destroying a 'Small Metal Door'. This is a idea but the splitting axe would 100% work on the wooden doors, but for the metal I would think you would need atleast a 'Fireaxe' or 'Sledge Hammer' and wrists of steel. Another would be to say add grenades back in but they can be attached to the Door and used that way to gain entry. (But i guess they still have the Log issues) So in Conclusion Small Metal doors can only be destroyed by Fire Axe, Sledge Hammer, Grenade.... Sapphire Zero Posted June 10, 2020 Sapphire Share Posted June 10, 2020 Or just create an explosive item such as C4 and have that be the only way to destroy the metal. That thing is thick as hell. No way even a sledge hammer could get through it imo. Link to comment
Legend Duplessis Posted June 10, 2020 Legend Share Posted June 10, 2020 I think to keep it balanced it is best that we have it so that each of the raiding tools can be used on each of the doors. Sometimes it is necessary to suspend one's disbelief in things and remember that this is still a video game. Link to comment
MVP Whitename Posted June 10, 2020 MVP Share Posted June 10, 2020 Currently the door takes longer to break down the better materials you use, the metal one taking 20 minutes. So at least there's some reason to use better doors. But as far as disabling raiding weapons I think what we have is good Link to comment

Emerald Syx Posted June 12, 2020 Emerald Share Posted June 12, 2020 I see what youre saying, It is kind of weird for a single hatchet to go through metal door, But I believe for the sake of balancing it is as best as it can be for the moment at least, A possible solution (which idk if this is possible, it might be with the new DayZ update 1.08 but idk if this will apply to the "more doors" mod itself) but make it to where the hatchet will break before it gets through, however the doors health will be reduced. In order to make it take a little more for to get through the tougher doors. But like I said I don't know if its something that could be done easily. Ill still vote yes because I don't think looking into it is a bad idea. Link to comment
