whats the point in being carrefull if i can never be killed?

Well yeah. If i can never be killed by other players unless i basically ask for it, what is the point of being careful? Like avoiding roads, large cities, being stealthyand other survival stuff.

Because you are playing a character, not a "player"
you wouldnt run around with infected running around etc in real life cause youd die pretty fuckin quickly

Because if you're not (as) careful, those looking for trouble or giving you trouble will find you easier. Right now the lands might still be pretty calm due to lore reset and the situation only unfolding, but as you're a new player (from the looks of it) I guess you didn't notice last lore, especially in later stages.


I basically invite you to stay and see how it develops and what experiences you will gather. I found out that being "careful" generally keeps you alive and stress-free, at least from an IC perspective (others might opt for a different playstyle or approach OOC).

Please avoid roads, you might genuinely get run over by mistake. Which, naturally is VDM (Vehicle Death Match) and is a rulebreak but sometimes accidents happen.

I see that you've been in game, because of this I can only assume you've read the server rules and passed the whitelist. So your answer is in there ?

I would not have that mindset when in character IMO, as we are not even a week in yet ?‍♂️

This isn't a "Non-KoS" Private Server; it's a Roleplay community! Act accordingly!

In regards to the survival aspect and avoiding hostile characters, it really depends on your playstyle.

Apply a mentality, as if you're that actual individual you're playing:

  • You wouldn't just casually walk through the middle of a warzone (an active firefight between two or more large groups - Ex: 10+ players) That's NVFL. Use your brain!
  • You wouldn't just stroll through an open field/road with a bag of goodies; where bandits tend to patrol. That's be stupid. Asking to get robbed. Don't cry about it either!
  • You wouldn't enter a large city/military base unless you really had to, or were up for the challenge. More infected in such locations, you better bring your survival tactics into player or lots of ammo! Hell, this applies just about anywhere. Stealth is important, so is planning your route to avoid trouble!

I'll echo what Camo posted - you play a character, and you should immerse yourself in the situation you are in.

For example, I have been careful, trying to find a way to escape, and I have only used my fists on one infected so far. Hell, I gave away a Winchester with 20 rounds to a survivor near the Western Escape route. Be mindful, and don't think you are invincible - gear fear and loot running is not what this server is about!

If you are a real roleplayer like me and strive for realism you can always PK your character when you die, then you would have something to fear.

I'm probably the best roleplayer so I'd listen to me.

Groups could rob you, reason enough?

Fears there, and is necessary for a fun experience in DayZRP, otherwise it’s just second life with zombies. Interact with people and get into some tense situations.

What kind of question is that. how did you pass the whitelist, haha, jokes aside, you should really inmerse on the character you are playing, and if you want trouble you can just ask for it IC

for example, i am always geared, but i am always alone, (almost all the time) this means if a group of 2 or more, try to steal from me, i dont want to die, i dont want to go all rambo and shit, and try to kill them, even if i managed to kill them, thats not very realistic, and could be considered badrp acording to the rules.

having said that, there should be a rule that avoids GEAR RP. i mean, i just hate when people rob your stuff and dont provide good RP from it. that should be considered BADRP and should be on the rules imo.

  1. That wouldn't be considered BadRP if they initiate on you and you kill them; but it's risky because depending on the circumstances you may end up receiving NVFL verdict if you die.
  2. If you're robbed strictly for your gear, or the roleplay is brief, then it would fall into BadRP; in a sense GearRP is BadRP. That is already in the rules.

You have to play the game as if it is a real life in your hands and not with the "respawn and repeat" mentality.

If you get shot/munched on enough times and keep coming back it will, first and foremost, ruin the immersion of other players and secondly ruin your own story.

If not for your own sake, please stick to realism for others.

This is quite an easy answer. Depending on how you play your character and what kind of personality he is you should also react to certain stuff in a given way. You're not a player, you're playing a person. 
Also there is the basic sentiment of "if you die three times you should consider a PK" you're not forced of course.
