lxknvlk
I dont know if the video is from this server. But the RP situation was amazing. I would like to discuss this situation as an example of a RP. 1) On the side of the hostages, at which moment i could have pulled a gun out and started shooting? 2) And what if i was with the civilian group, but say i was with a sniper rifle somewhere away from this location. I come there and see my friends being held hostages. Can i open fire on the attackers from far away? Edited June 2, 2020 by lxknvlk Link to comment
MVP Ron Posted June 2, 2020 MVP Share Posted June 2, 2020 Hey hey, take a look at this here, I believe you will find answers! Especially in Chapter 8 & 9 but also 6&7. Feel free to shoot me a DM on discord if you have questions. 1 Link to comment
Sapphire Finn Posted June 2, 2020 Sapphire Share Posted June 2, 2020 Hey, welcome to the server. Don't quote me on this but from my years on this server I might be able to answer these from you. 1. As a hostage in that scenario, pulling out a weapon and attempting to fight back would be considered NVFL as it would be 1v3+ people and you likely wouldn't survive. However if you did have allies that also were to non comply and even out the odds, you may or may not survive, but wouldn't be considered NVFL as your odds would be far better. As long as it's you're not outmatched 3 to 1 you should be fine. 2. If you were in an approved group you would be able to fire upon the people taking your friends hostage, however if you aren't in an approved group or dynamic you would have to initiate and see non-compliance before opening fire on the enemy. NVFL also applies to this so if you initiate on 3+ people and you're by yourself you would likely die, resulting in NVFL. Link to comment

If we were in a dynamic group and some guys went ahead while i was behind looting stuff. Then i catch up and see my guys at gunpoint as hostages. By the rules i have the defence rights and can open fire immediately? I remember the dynamic group share defence rights. Link to comment

You have been really focused on how and when you can shoot people. I remember having a conversation with you the other day in the discord. Yes. If you are in a dynamic (IE; You were recently roleplaying with them) you are allowed to defend your allies. But its always case by case, and always situational. Approach every situation as your character would, with the rules in mind. For example; Opening fire on a group of 5-6 people holding 1 of your friends hostage is stupid. You'll get your friend killed (Your character would assume this, even if OOCly you know they can't kill your friend cause you guys aren't an approved group) and it could be considered NVFL if you die, cause you tried to take on too many people. Focus on roleplay and a mutually fun experience. 1 Link to comment
