Day 1 in South Zagoria

Kissing my wife Nora, good buy at the airport and, as usual, my friends, especially Peter, is whistling and makes hooting sounds.
I got a strange feeling it will take a long time before I will see her again, but it's only going to be a two-week vacation.
I should have listened to my thoughts. Now I'm stuck in South Zagoria and lost. Peter and Sven are both gone after, Yea what was that all about?
That guy was utterly crazy.
I need to get back there and get my rifle and bags.
This Chernorussian guy let me sleep in the barn guess that's better than nothing. Not to self, I need to ask him to write down his name. tomorrow so I remember

Day...I don't know I think it's been three months since I wrote anything here.
I decided to head out of the apartments. I had to kill one of the sick, doing so thought.
I tried to help him come to his senses, but all he did was screaming at me, not as a normal man, more beast-like. When he smashed the window and tried to climb in, I shot him. I can't believe I shot a guy.
Later I did meet some people in, I think they said Stary sobor was the name of the town and later on some military people. Respublika Armiya Chernorusskaya, I don't know if I spell that right.
I'm now a proud owner of a Chernorussian citizenship.
They seem like good people, and we will see how much I can help them.
I did offer them my services as a truck driver and car mechanic.

I lost count on the days now.
I ran into those military people again. They disapproved of the Berret50 that I found back at the airport of all places. It was strange my gun was still there, but the rest of my stuff was gone, scope, my two mags, and all my ammo and clothing.
I did show them my international license, but they would not believe I brought a gun like that to hunt bear, and I could not prove it was mine.
Stupid military people only believe a rifle of that size can only be used for one thing. I guess they don't know there is different ammo for it, Damn knuckleheads.
They asked me for the rest of the stuff for my rifle, and even if I had it, I would not give it to them...hmmm maybe I should just to see them hurt themself trying to use it.
No, I can't think like that even if they were the last to receive a brain at the birth fabric even those RAC people are people in some form.

I did meet some Russians today. It seemed like pretty nice people, at least the ones I found in their camp, and holy crap, what a camp, huge in comparison to those RAC people. The one I did meet at NWAF was prob more concerned about finding me in a military installation then the infected chasing me at the time. I can't believe how fast he kills them.
I can only feel sorry for those infected and even a bit sick when I did see the corpses.
He asked for the AKM on my back, and since I already had a gun and the AKM was only something I was going to trade, I gave it to him; I just wanted to get away from those corpses.
I could not remember the name of the officer, but I told him the RAC soldiers said it was okay to travel through but not enter any buildings. I got a feeling he thought I was lying.

I'm sorry for ignoring you, the book that I entrust all my secrets in to.
I have met some good people and some bad people so far the bad ones turn to be the RAC in the end and not to mention that corrupt police force they are protecting. The RAC people are probably just as corrupt as the police. Well, in my opinion, they are. Some ass from the police told me I was not allowed to have a FAL and the Saiga. I asked him if they were illegal, then why do I keep finding them at Summer camps?
He could not answer that, and the fact he pointed an AK at me all the time, I start to question if how professional he was. I should have shot that dick head straight away; after all, I had every opportunity.
That brings me to the nice bar owners. I really did not want to get them into trouble by shooting up the town, so I will be patient and wait. He will get what's coming to him

I did meet some other nice people today. They gave me a ride to Stary Yar; little did they know I used to live close to that area about a month ago, which might be more than a month. I had a hard time trusting them at first, but after meeting their beautiful and smart leader Alexis, I decided to stay and offered my services as a car mechanic and truck drive. They gladly accepted both of my positions, especially after I found two trucks in great condition up at NWAB and donated them both to our cause.
I have been here for a few weeks now, and already trouble is knocking on our door.
Was in a hot situation today, almost shot this black clothed guy outside of camp aiming inside. If I had the word, he would be the first one to die, and yes, I do surprise my self thinking I was prepared to kill for these people, not all of them but Alexis; every bone in my body tells me I can trust her, I can't explain why it has something to do with her personality I'm sure of it.
I just wish she would trust me when I say RAC is not to be trusted

The camp was empty when I returned this morning. Seems like everyone left in a hurry.
I started to walk back to Berezino since that's the only place I know about with some good people.
I did meet this guy just outside of Svetlogask, blind as a bat; even though I spoke to him, he did not see me until I stepped out in the road.
He was some kind of doctor, so I gave him some supplies, and he returns the favor by giving me some ammo. It was a nice trade.
Ran into this due, driving his car down from upper Berezino and stopped. I was surprised both of the facts he stopped, and after that, offering me a ride in the opposite direction he came from.
I was hesitant, but I decided to take his offer; it was only a short drive after all.
Some people shouted at him to stop when we reached the pub, but he tried to outrun they're heil of bullets, I'm surprised they did not hit me.
I was sure I was getting robbed, but when one of the people placed some NWG's on my head in exchange for some bullets and a magazine for an AKM, I did not complain.
I spent some time with the owner of the pub before I had to get some rest. I believe we both had some trust issues with those people performing the "forced trade" with me.

It's been a quiet day. I walked from Berezino to Zelenegorsk and was on my way to VMC when I saw the first sign of life.
This guy came with an Ada, and at first, I thought he did not see me, but he did stop and reversed back.
As a precaution, I pulled out my gun first, but I realized he was the one taking the risk of stopping his car, so I put his mind at ease and holstered my gun.
His name is Fin, something I just call him Fin. He offered me a ride to VMC after I told him I was heading there.
With a stroke of luck, we found an old tanker truck there and filled it with water and fuel.
He asked me if I wanted it, but what am I suppose to have a tanker for, so I countered with offering him to drive it back to his base.
The steering was a bit weird, but I could handle it, Fin, on the other hand, though I was driving an F1 race car constantly pulling away from me.
We spent the night together talking and while he was fishing in the local lake while I was grilling his catch for him.
He might turn out to be a good friend...I hope I will not get disappointed.

I decided to go with Fin and his friends to Krona castle. Apparently, some people live there.
I thought I did know them, considering I have been there, but I did not recognize any of them once we arrived.
They seem to be nice, but the way they acted put me on edge, and I think Fin noticed. I think he trusts me more then I give him credit to as I did see him move away slightly from the crowd to a more defensive location.
I was glad nothing happened since we were both outnumbered and outgunned.
In the end, I think the people there caught on my distress to and let us go.
I'm still not sure how far I can trust them.

I'm back at Berezino. This place feels more and more like a home even though I do like Zvir allot due to its beautiful nature.
I did meet those castle people again, and I don't know why but they still give me bad vibes even though I was told over radio they could be trusted. I think they don't fully trust me either, so maybe that's why we are clashing so badly.
I tried to calm myself and speak to them; it worked, but I noticed one of them following me once I walked away to take a leak.

I went back to Zvir lake today was planning to deliver a truck to Fin and his friends that I managed to get moving after a bit of cursing and getting it out of a ditch.
I was speaking with Fin when my phone was ringing. To my surprise, it was my wife. I almost hung up on her, but something in her breathing got me to hold on to it.
Not long after my phone died, I guess that would be my last call with it since I lost the charger.
It did take all my self-control to keep from rushing of strait away to rescue her.
Alexis showed up another surprise. Apparently, She was lost, so I asked her for help since Fin could not leave.

Mikael looks over at Alexis before bringing out his Diary
I failed. My wife is dead, and my best female friend almost got killed too.
She told me about the nightmare she had. I feel sorry for her. It will most lightly plague her dreams for a while.
I would never forgive my self if both of them died.
Some Russians tried to get us off the road today.
After killing two of them and questioning the third one, I come to regret I did not kill those two trying to steal my truck when coming here; it would most lightly change allot of things a bow all the faith of my wife...God, I miss her.

I had a nice day today. Alexis and I decided to stay at the cabin for a few days. We did some daily shores like fishing. I did not have much luck, but Alexis, on the other hand, secured our dinner for the day.
During dinner, we did talk a bit about the group, and it is apparent to me that some people don't like what we are trying to do and seem to be harassing Alexis. I believe this made her leave for such a long time.
I promised her to look into this and talk to some of my friends. After all, it is not the first time I hear about female leaders getting harassed. I just look at the Bar in Berezino. I wonder if it is the same people if so, maybe we can work together to get rid of these trouble makers.

Alexis needed a few more days, but I decided to move around a bit and see what happened during the week I was gone.
I did meet a few people. The first one was up at Green mountain.
Not to self WRITE DOWN NAMES.
I can't believe I almost missed him wearing that light blue raincoat and the even more shiny helmet.
After we partway, I went down to Zelenegorsk and was greeted by sporadic gunfire. Some of the shots were so close I could hear the cracks and wizzes of bullets, so I left shortly after. Whatever those two were up to, I did not want to be apart of it. I should have taken an overwatch position and killed those two but considering how badly they aimed; I'm sure the infected did short work of them, no need to waist bullets

More gunfire, this time at Stary sobor I did meet this guy, Another name I forgot, damn it! I really need to remember to write down names! I gave him some food while we discussed the gunfire, it was guaranteed several guns, but so short, we both thought it was just some survivors killing infected.
I was somewhat right. I saw a lot of infected dead and some survivors with green and red armbands and a truck. I guess it was theirs.
They seemed friendly enough, so I offered them my services as a truck driver, they would come back to me.
I also did meet thees three people in Novy before I went to bed. I hope that the police officer survives his sickness and that lady who I'm sure I have seen before, maybe in Berezino. Well, I gave her some of my blood, and I hope she can make that vaccine.
The third guy was really quiet and seemed to travel with the police officer.
Matter fact I don't think he even introduced himself, but at least, he gave me some 308 bullets for my Winchester.

I started by walking down to Berezino today. Not much was happening down there. I did meet some guy after investigating his Ada. At the time, I did not know it was his. I asked him if he did know if the bar people were around, he told me yes and that they were out looking for supplies.
I don't know what was up with this person, but he really gave me a bad feeling, so I left him there but did keep a close eye on him.
I did meet a familiar face up at Svetlogask, thought.
I spent the entire night with Vit talking weapons and getting up to speed on what has happened here during my trip to Russia. Apparently, some Russian military goons are trying to keep us under their thumb. I would guess it is not many of them and something we can take care of if they become troublesome; after all, how many can they be here if they got like, well no more then 15 at a primary nuclear site, the conclusion they are spread thin and probably barely have any men.
This requires more investigation.

I decided to walk with Vit back to Berezino. Maybe I can find an upgrade for my Winchester there.
This time there were a few people there. Among them was a man coming from the north in a strange jeep. As a car mechanic, I have never seen anything like it. The short story is that their hood was welded, and as far as I could see, there was no access to the engine, maybe some top-secret car according to the owner, he never filed any fluids, including water.
We discussed his hmmm, what was it, his brother, who apparently was lost, and according to further proof, he might have committed suicide.
I also ran into some asshole that more or less threatened my life. I was close to shooting him as he turns around. I do regret not doing so. The world doesn't need people like him.
Shortly after I left Berezino questioning where all the security is that used to be here, maybe Grace needs my services as security.

God, I hate waking up this early!
I have not seen many people, but what did I expect when waking up before 6 in the morning.
I traveled south this time and did take a peek at the prison isle; thought I did see some movement there, but I did not feel like swimming over.
Not far from there, I did see two people running along the beach; they did not notice me, and part of me is happy about that; they both gave me bad vibes.
The next time I did meet some people was in Zelenegorsk, some older man and two younger people. The older man seemed nice, but their younger guy seemed strange. I did not like him, especially when he started to defend those Russians even after telling us he got forcefully interrogated by them and apparently even threatened.
I got the feeling he did not know what foot he wanted to stand on because the next thing he said was that they might have deserted from the Russian army and was acting on their own. I'm sure their reign of terror will end shortly here in South Zagoria.
The 2nd young guy was a lot more co-operative and even warned us about heating to Green mountain. Apparently, he is a traveling trader.

So I ran into one of those—Russians today outside of Zelenegorsk.
He seemed to be pretty...human, but that would most lightly be because he was all alone facing a heavily armed man like me. The encounter tells me they have a small presence here in South Zagoria and can most lightly be quickly dealt with if needed.
The people I did meet in Stary sobor seemed to allot nicer, and that American soldier definitely did know what he was doing. Unlike what I heard about the Russians, he sincerely wants to help people. I'm glad I did meet him and his friends.
After checking out the Novi sobor summer camp and not finding anything, I returned to Berezino.
I need to remember that not everyone is used to killing or seeing someone killing infected or non-infected alike. That pore bastard looked shocked beyond belief when I shot that infected in the head as he attacked us.
I'm feeling sorry for the man; apperently he was some doctor in training.
Well, he has to learn that not everyone survives this apocalypse.
Shortly after, we ran into some more people. We spoke for a bit as the wind picked up. I almost missed it a god damn tropical storm in South Zagoria at all places. Now granted The green sea...ocean I'm not sure what it is called Geography is not my strong side, Well it goes pretty far south India, maybe I'm not sure. But if that's the case, that would explain the tropical storm that hit Berezino yesterday.
Well, I managed to get them indoors before it hit. Apparently, this was the first time anyone has seen a storm like this. Thank god for spending time in the US so that I can see the signs.
Footnote I can't remember ever to have read anything about tropical storms in Chernogorsk, only that god damn civil war.
My friends were happy for my quick thinking, though, in hindsight, I would have picked a building with fewer windows then the bar as cover. Well, at least no one got hurt.

OOC The tropical storm was my way to react on the server restart and get something to talk about. Feel free to use this in any way you wish

Well, it's been a pretty quiet day, apart from some radio rumors about the Russians and Chernorussian police force trying to get some community going in Chernogorsk.
I decided to investigate what people talked about, so I went down there, not a long walk from Zelenegorsk.
Well, scoping out the area from a distance, I did not see a thing, heard allot of gunshots thought, not welcoming if you ask me.
I decided to go in for a closer look and ran into a small patrol of Ruskies.
I did not listen much to what they said before saying something about an emergency and had to go. Probably found some pore bastard with an illegal gun, that would be an emergency in their eyes.
After hearing some voices from inside the police station, I went over there.
The police were a lot more service-minded and helped to explain what was happening.
I don't fully trust them yet, going to take a lot more than words to gain my trust, but if everything they say is true, then I could live with those laws; hell, they are not so different from the laws in Sweden.
Well, this will require more investigation. Maybe I can recruit Alexis and Finann to help me out here.

I heard another radio call from the Russians again today.
I decided to head down there, mainly because of the police officers that seemed friendly and respectful.
I'm pretty sure I did meet the General I believe some people call him.
He seemed like a good man.
I got my hunting and game license and my self-defense license, and the only thing I could say was the licenses were well made, but I'm surprised there was no photo of me on any of them.
After that, I got tested for the virus and turned out clean. I was surprised to see that the female doctor was there. The last time I saw her, I thought she was just some nut case, but she is apparently working for the Russians on some research to cure this virus.
Together with the police, the Russian army did an excellent job of keeping everything moving and was both polite, and as usual, the military was not much for small talk.
I did have a nice talk to one of the police officers who was guarding the bridge leading out of the quarantine zone.
I must say he was an interesting person to talk to. I hope I will meet him again someday.
I could barely believe my eyes when I did see a working computer. I was asked to type in my personal information, and shortly after, I got my new ID...I wonder where the camera was that it did take my picture as I was writing. It was not the best picture, but at least they can see who the ID belongs to.
I did not have much time to talk to Vit and Jezevec. I hope everything turned out good for them Jezevec is, well, kind of outspoken about the Russians, and it could get them both in trouble.

So, where do I begin?
It seems like the police and the military are changing the rules again.
Whose stupid idea was it to not allow suppressors on handguns?
It will only result in allot more shooting because the infected are drawn to loud noises, damn idiots!
Well, at least I got another suppressor I can use when out and about.
My new friends up here at the summer camp I really like, and I'm considering to stay here for some time and help them in any way I can.
The female in the group seem to be the smart one, and yes, I forgot her name again. I guess she was right. Her husband seems a bit hot-headed and needs to calm down, I did have a good talk with him, and I hope he will better control himself. If he doesn't, it could end up bad for them all, and I would hate to see that. Side note: maybe he should be a bit careful with the alcohol.
Now, Roman, I don't know what to say about him. He seems to have changed since the last time I did see him. I think he is trying to prove himself to someone, but I simply don't know.
We spent some time alone grilling some fish, and at that point when it was only him and me, he seemed a lot more...relaxed?
I need to keep an eye on him and learn what kind of man he truly is.

So I followed the rules they set for me and told one of the Police officers that I was heading out on a bear hunt in the north and would return in a few days. As usual, he did oppose me, but I said I just followed the rules and told an officer or the military that I was going out of the QZ as I was told to do; he relented after that. Side note I need to talk to another officer when I return to Chernogorsk about him having the wrong information. He told us that civilians were not allowed to use plate carriers or other protective gear. Now granted, I could be wrong, and the rules have been changed again by our "Russian overlords" just like with the silencers on handguns.
I did see some sign of life just outside of Zelenegorsk, two men I think it was searching the houses at Kozlovka. Other than that, all I did see was abandoned bases, and it seems like the wildlife is recovering and moving more freely. I did spot some deer and boars but left them alone since the boar population is low and needs to regain its population, so far I had no luck finding bears. Maybe I should abandon the bear hunt and let them recover too.
I did see some evidence of a population in and around Krona castle, I decided to spend the night here, and maybe I can meet these people.
