With the addition of MSFC i felt the AK101 had been left out on some of the Magazine love given by the new AK74 mags and AKM

However I'm unsure if the community even wants this, let me know in the poll if i should add this magazine!

If it's an actual magazine that exists then why not.

I would agree if it was a drum mag. That, however, is a BETA-C mag which is a NATO magazine on an eastern gun.

I can deal with zombies, I can deal with people coming back from the dead without breaking my immersion but god damn my gaming experience will be RUINED if I see the incorrect mag on a weapon like this.

I love the AK-101, give my baby justice.

What's wrong with Drum mags?

Did some quick searches and didn't find much online about any companies producing 100 or even 50 round magazines for the 101.

We could do something for the M14, FAL and MP5 though.

If you're really going to pull the immersion break card then you can't use any drum mags ever because your character doesn't load them correctly

This. I get where the idea is coming from but that looks WRONG!

Unpopular opinion: instead of adding a drum mag for every weapon to make it "balanced", remove the existing drum mags. Achieves the same balance with far less work and OP guns.

Sure

Well, you did say "unpopular" ?

I do think we need to remove the AKS74U's drum but besides that, 45 rounders already exist. Removing drums would make the RPK16 the most sought-after gun in the game, fucking the balance completely

On topic, I do think we have enough drums at present so an AK101 drum doesn't feel exactly needed to me

I voted yes but meant no.

Anyway, agree with Roland - remove the drum mags from all AK pattern weapons. Drum mags completely fucks the balance of weapons in game, and it makes certain weapons far stronger having 70+ bullets on tap.

However, as a counter point - this is a RP server, so weapon balance should be there but not the primary focus. The worry I see is when groups are allowed that one will have stockpiles of drum weapons, but im sure the mods/team will ensure a level plating field to stop one group being too powerful.

Like andrey said if the mag exists why not?

As for removing them all nah the drum has always been a stable for akms.

That magazine looks funky in that AK not gonna lie. A quick google search brings up a 100 round drug magazine made in South Korea. If you were going to do this concept why not just repurpose the drum magazine model?

I voted yes. Since the AK-74 used a twin drum design, stands to reason that they would have done it for the 101 as well. I know the AK-47 and the variants that used the 7.62x39 used a single drum mag design

I think this would work as well

1 shot guns(the FAL and any .308 battle rifle) does NOT need 100 round mags lmao.

the AK 101 however absolutely does.

I mean if this was available for this weapon it would be great to see it IG. The drum magazine that's shown in the picture, I just don't what to think about it tbh.

No for the reason that its a NATO mag on an eastern weapon. Use a drum mag instead.

The caliber is 5.56mm NATO. Its a ak with a NATO caliber, so I dont see the problem. These days they mix all sorts of attachments and other things. I voted yes ofc.
