Hello Gamers

As we all know the lore wipe is imminent. The hype is growing and people are taking breaks to come back with a fresh want and need to RP on this server. I'm sure it will be great to finally get back in and start creating stories with a fun and diverse group of people.

But I feel like it often gets overlooked what's actually being done for us. The lore master team has always been hard at work ever since I joined the RP server. I had a lovely time with @Stagsview harassing my group and me with his psychopath killer character up in the castle on Livonia. Some of the most intense and fun shit ever (even though it ended prematurely when he spawned inside the castle on accident and I got spooked and popped his head open with a .308; still sorry mate). On the forums as well, there was some really fun to read and engaging content produced by the lore masters with cool events being done in game as well and I hope they keep up the good work in the future and don't get burnt out.

And now we get a lore wipe, tons and tons of work put in which you can already tell by the two teasers we saw and I'm sure we're all super excited to see what's coming. Which is why I'm creating this thread. I want to personally thank each and every single member of the lore master team and the developers for their hard work that they are doing out of the kindness of their hearts and for free for our community so that we can have more enjoyment out of this 7 year old game. I want everyone who sees this to go to the Staff Feedback page, leave a nice comment, thanking them, show them some love so that they know we appreciate what they do. Go to one of their posts and give them some BeanZ. I feel like so much hard work must be tiring, so they need the sustenance to keep going.

Please for the love of god, don't turn this thread into a toxic "release the lore finally" thread. I just want to show some love to hard working people since they more than deserve it in my opinion.

Everyone has worked their asses off to try to make the upcoming lore wipe as special as it can possibly be and now we are so close to seeing all the hard work pay off. I want to give a massive thank you to the loremasters, devs and every other staff member that has contributed their free time and effort into this amazing project!

I cannot wait for the whole community to get to experience all that the lore wipe has to offer!

Better this for beanz farming than people flaming/ flame-baiting, linking it in group discords and being like "AHAHA QUIK BOIS, 5 POINTS COMIN' GIVE ME BEANZ!!"

 

The amount of work and effort put into this lore is phenomenal, good shit to all those involved in it's creation.

Thanks for the love guys! We've been hard at work creating the new lore and working hand in hand with the developers and Admins to make it a reality. We want to make the Lore, the server, a interesting and exciting place for the community as it's something that we ourselves as community members first and foremost would want to see a LM Team doing. We work on things from the PoV of participating in the lore as if we weren't the ones writing it and that really helps to guide the process, I feel. Often times though it does feel that people think only of Stags as the "LM Team" as he's the most vocal so it's nice to see people appreciate the rest of us as well along with the Devs who have worked very, very hard to make a lot of the changes we want a reality.

And of course, the community as a whole is also to thank. Without people's drive, desire and dedication to the want of a new lore and progress to making it real we wouldn't be where we are now. I'd like to thank those who have stepped up and accepted our calls for help in running Lore Factions or other various deeds needed such as graphics, voices, videos, editing, insight, research or even just a shoulder to cry on when stuff gets too stressful. We wouldn't be nearly as complete without all of them as well. The Lore is not something to be safe guarded and hoarded by us LMs but something everyone has a chance to contribute to.

The Lore is the creative history of the DayZRP community, let us all write it together!

As Hofer said, it's an attempt to spread positivity, not to gather BeanZ. I just felt that people were not appreciative enough of the work put into this lore wipe and just kept pushing for it to be released early. That annoyed me so I wanted a place for us to show the people working on this how much it means to us.

Kudos to the entire team, indeed.

I've had some incredibly interesting interactions with @Stagsview before the wipe as well, with him creating "horror" scenarios for certain characters and dragged their entire group into it.
