The wonderful @Misho turned me onto a mod called HellRetex Additions: Survival. I'm primarily interested in the fern tent as well as the light hiking cooking pot and foldable tripod. The mod also adds a lot of improvised tools, but I don't know how I feel about being able to craft raiding tools.

I propose adding the fern tent, light hiking cooking pot, and foldable tripod. The fern tent will have its cargo space almost entirely removed to emphasise the tent's function as a roleplay item.

Calling in @Roland for a POV

I vote to add all of it. Although I can understand the exception when it comes to the tools. However, I truly do appreciate the concept of Bushcraft being implemented, etc.

looks really interesting and I would love to see it added. However, I'm mostly interested in the ghillie suit he's wearing in the video, looks beautiful.

+1 from me. Always good to promote the survivalist playstyle.

There is one thing that concerns me though....

I voted to add it all - obviously the storage will be adjusted, but I really like the look of the tools.

While I understand the worry that the tools will be used for raiding, I say we add them and see if the problem gets out of hand first, or make it that these improvised tools cannot be used to break down the metal doors as a compromise.

The fern tents actually could retain some components of the storage. As, this would mostly be thought as solo survivor "base" object. You can change the inventory not to accept any guns, and if you are concerned about gunstacking, remove the backpack slot from it. single rifle on the tent wont change the world. Ammo boxes are rare as fuck, and wooden boxes have already been disabled on the gun storing part. As I personally would use this as nomadic character who is not having bigass base.

I'm curious about the durability of the handmade tools. Otherwise, i'm all for it.

Problem with having cargo space on these craftable tents is that having craftable storage is a big nono. We will reduce the inventory space significantly and leave the attachments. It will have a small lifespan, meaning anything attached will be deleted when the tent goes

Looks pretty good, add everything except the raiding tools since they wont be needed

I voted to add just the RP items. I feel as though the tools (except maybe the knife) are unnecessary now that basebuilding has been removed.

While I do want the mod, there is this to take in consideration

This needs to be clarified ^

Well fuck I didn’t see that. I’ll contact the mod owner just to make sure but i’m sure that means we can’t use it

Misho hasn't been able to reach the owner for days so this is unfortunately dead in the water.
