Adjustment to .357 & 7.92×57mm Weapons

Intro

Let's propose it's the beginning of the lorewipe. Your character is a civilian amongst the population. Your choice of weapon is likely to be what you find in your neighbor's house. However, when you encounter a Kar98k or a Repeater, you'll notice that you can't seem to find any ammo for them. Now, why is that? Such ammos are foreign to Chernarus, but so is many other added game features (such as BMW car, NATO weapons,etc)! Why shouldn't we expect to find a balance amongst our weapon selection, attachments, and ammunition?

What is my suggesting here?

I propose we:

  • Add the Repeater weapon to Hunting/Summer Camp loot-table.
  • Add .357 ammunition to the Hunting/Summer Camp loot-table.
  • Add Desert Eagle and DE Magazines to the Military loot-table (instead of Civillian Townhouses loot-table)
  • Increase ammunition spawnrate of .357 & 7.92x57mm amongst the Civillian Townhouses loot-table.

Spawn civilian weapons like the ones you said, pre-loaded with ammo, because why would someone keep a gun in a country like Chernarus not loaded.

To be honest, I don't understand why we don't encounter more weapons that have ammo, magazines, or a variety of attachments already in/on them. 

Remember how on Arma 2: DayZ Mod, everything you needed spawned together? That's be nice to have again. 

It's just irritating, with the game's loot-mechanics, you'll find 3 weapons of the same type spawn nearby, but no ammo or magazines. Then the next time you loot, you find only ammo & magazines. It's like a giant middle finger from the DayZ universe.

Adjustments to the weapon and ammunition spawn counts, types, and locations are going to be implemented come Lore Wipe, the exact details of which aren't really pertinent for the public at present. Suffice to say things will be adjusted.

 

Edit: As I've said elsewhere the current loot tables for the new MSF-C weapons are as high as they are so that players can find and test them, since there is only a 2 week gap between these wipes it's a perfect opportunity for feedback on the weapons.

Oh okay. Yeah. I noticed some inconsistences.

On Livonia, you'd find certain guns everywhere, but on Chernarus you'll rarely see them.

Another thought was some of the newly added weapons are very buggy; such as the Tactical MP-153 Shotgun, it's very broken. The attachments for the silencers or scopes, etc.

I hope to see some of the vanilla weapons make a comeback. I prefer the vanilla weapons, attachments, magazines, etc over modded ones, mostly due to the bugs that I encounter. To be quite frank, vanilla weapons are designed better and anything else is just a reskin with a slightly different feature.
