Where did everyone go?

Back in February and March me and a couple friends starting playing RP again after Livionia came out. We were rolling around as "The Jokers", one of us got perma banned due to warning points and we kinda just lost interest for a while. Me and another friend we were wanting to make a comeback because we heard people went back to Chernarus but the last few days I checked the server population its just non existent. (Keep in mind I usually checked around 6-8pm UTC time). I'm just stuck wondering why did Livionia die out and are there more than 15 players earlier on in the daytime? Thanks!

Most people don't want to play because of the Lore wipe coming in a few weeks so people are waiting for that mate. It will pick up again.

Hi Predatxr. A lot of people are waiting for the upcoming Lore wipe, that is why the population is down abit at the moment. It has always been like that shortly before a Lore wipe so don't worry, the server will explode again  (A week ago we had 80 + 20 man Q)

I think a lot of people are waiting for the Lorewipe to happen before things go back into full swing! Real life is also something that I'd count in for sure.

I thinks it's because to the map and the lore wipe. Some people have voiced their opinion that they don't like Livonia too much, because it's so vast and barren. And also as the others mentioned, people can't be bothered to come on, when they know the wipe is due.

The majority of the people that stopped playing didn't like the fact that a timer was placed on their beloved gear and didn't see much point in working so hard for loot only for it to be wiped soon.

Unfortunately I think this proves that most of the current community care very little for RP, as the general mentality is "Whats the point of finishing RP stories if we have a lorewipe"

Honestly I think the novelty of Livonia died. The map, in many people's opinions, was inferior in a lot of ways. Once people got tired of Livonia they decided to go back to Chernarus which is the more developed map. 

My personal opinion: Livonia had some nice ideas and some nice new buildings but it was 169km2 of the same terrain copied and pasted. Cities had very little that differentiated between then and whilst the river was cool, there was just nothing "new" about the area. I mean hell, the bottom of the map was all one big forest. It kinda showed the lazy production of the map. Some big groups decided to move back to Chernarus and continue to roleplay there instead.

Hope this gave a little insight into why Livonia might've died off.

I think it sort of snowballed. Some people stopped playing because of the lorewipe or other reasons, and once people saw that pop was down it discouraged them from joining. Pop got to 40 the other day so I don't think it's that people don't care about RP, but I too am sorta discouraged from playing knowing that population is low and my character is gonna get permed in like 2 weeks.

You gotta remember that not everyone has a group to play with. There's a lot of new players who don't even have many friends on the server, so it doesn't really make sense to start a new storyline with a group of people just to get permad in a few weeks. Also for others, I think it makes sense to wanna have a break before the lore wipe so they don't become burnt out from the server.

I don't think that's a good reason tho... I'm just having fun RP'ing with my current character as it is. With the conscience the world's gonna get nuked or something xd
