Legend Popular Post Hofer Posted May 10, 2020 Legend Popular Post Share Posted May 10, 2020 Chernarus Liberation Front (Chernorusskaya Osvobozhdeniya Front) (Černoruská Osvobozenecká Fronta) After the civil war was lost to the ChDKZ the Russians took more control of Chernarus and it’s assets. The ChDKZ leader Gregori Lopotev was instated as head of the nation. A new army was formed, the Republic Army of Chernarus, and the country was renamed the Chernarussian Socialist Republic. Amidst the extinction of the CDF and the NAPA in 2010 a single division of NAPA decided that they would go rogue, and set up a new and separate unit for themselves before it was too late. The main men behind this all came from nationalistic backgrounds and were very xenophobic by nature. This group of people were led by trauma surgeon Dr. Dimitri Stepanov, political activist Marek Svoboda, military officers Zeroislav Xizovich, Felix Rubensic, famous vodka-brewer Stas Boyko and cardiac surgeon Dr. James “Sumo” Maseksky. The order of appearance not relevant. In the beginning of 2011 the land began to slowly stabilize and the Russians gained more control. The CDF was no longer the governing military force in the country, and was replaced by the Republic Army of Chernarus. Russian menace spread its influence further to a point they claimed to be natives and rightful owners of our beloved motherland. Our Chernarussian brothers and sisters were oppressed in their own country. The nightmare everyone fought to stop dawned upon us. Faced with a seemingly impossible task, we decided it was better to die standing rather than to live on knees. It was time to re-organise and act. We decided to take a name for ourselves. Something to gather people like us under a common banner and vision. The choice landed on Chernarus Liberation Front. Over the next few years we expanded our ranks, grew in the shadows. We distributed flyers named “The Front” throughout the country to native Chernarussians, proclaiming “Chernarus for Chernarussians” and showed the real face of oppressive soviet presence. The people were not to be brainwashed by the former Soviet state. In 2015 we had expanded massively, and were already well on our way with the training of our new members. We focused on guerrilla warfare, stealth operations and gathering intel. The main source of income was drug trafficking and production, as well as other missions given by the locals who managed to get in touch with the Liberation Front. The flyers were still shared in the country, but now it had clear messages about who it came from. They were signed from the Chernarus Liberation Front. They also contained cryptic messages about certain locations in the country. These locations were used to scout potential new recruits. The last flyer was sent during the summer of 2015: “For all remaining forces in South Zagoria. Take heed and listen… Before the Russians and the traitor Lopotev came to our country, we fought for this land and took part in guerrilla campaigns against all aggressors festering here. Fighting foreign involvement at all sides. We do not accept nor condone any foreign power trying to establish itself in our beloved Chernarus. Our actions reflected those of the people’s hearts and we did what we believed to be required of us in ensuring their survival and rebirth in the years to come. As an organized combatant group our main goal was to fight any foreigners and their groups posing any threat toward Chernarussian ideals and inhabitants, and those who try to spread their alien influence over our cherished country. With our previous experience fighting the combined might of foreign arms we excelled in close quarters, hit and run tactics and scouting skirmishes. Our soldiers are the pulse, beating to the rhythm of liberation, which has kept this nation's hopes and dreams alive. The time has come to push the foreign scourge out of our motherland. We are the people of Chernarus and their fist!” In the end of 2015 we made a plan. We wanted to start ridding Chernarus of the russian sympathisers and supporters. The first step on the way was to overthrow Lopotev and take back what once was ours. On January 18th 2016 the plan was set in motion. On this day Lopotev was supposed to leave the country for a diplomatic meeting in Russia. The informants, within puppet government, sympathising with the Liberation Front delivered this secret well ahead of time. Even though Lopotev was heavily guarded, as our previous raids struck fear for his safety, an attempt was made to prepare ambush at the main and secondary path of travel. The informant within the government was a man named Mirco. Even though he was a native Chernarussian, he acquired a position as Lopotev’s secretary and was working there for four years. One of many of his tasks included being present at meetings to take notes... After Mirco delivered the information to us about Lopotev’s travelling route towards Russia, his leak was discovered by one of his colleagues. The leak was reported to Lopotev himself. This had a fatal outcome for Mirco and his family. He was publicly shamed and proclaimed a traitor to the state working with terrorist group. His family was imprisoned on false charges, while Mirco was publicly hanged in the main square of Novigrad. We heard the news of Mirco’s passing, and were adamant on continuing our mission. The mission was named “Remember Mirco”. On the 18th of January, Lopotev and his guards took an undocumented, alternate route through Zelenogorsk due to Mirco’s leak. Our forces were stretched thin and couldn’t react on time. Not all was lost though, Zelenogorsk apart from being a town, served as a train hub for military cargo. As such, we maintained surveillance on this strategic area. This day was no different, a lone, currently still active, soldier was on watch duty that day, just like any other day, as he really loved trains. The Svobodnik would receive a message on the radio from Major Stepanov. “Svobodnik [REDACTED], Lopotev is coming your way. He will pass through Zelenogorsk. Your new priority, take him down, if you get a chance. For Chernarus!” [REDACTED] listened and started scouting for the diplomatic vehicles. He spotted an armoured caravan approaching Zelenogorsk from the south. He frowned, his SVD was not enough to make a dent in a heavily plated Mercedes. He reported back to the Major. “They are using bullet proof vehicles, Major.” “He mustn't leave the area. Do what is necessary, we are on our way.” The vehicles entered the gas station just outside the northern premise of Zelenogorsk. The convoy stopped at the gas station, as the bodyguard sitting in the back with Lopotev had to use the restroom. [REDACTED] saw his chance and started aiming, but he was too slow. The door was opened and shut before he could react. He waited further. The bodyguard returned, and [REDACTED] had his aim ready at the location he last saw Lopotev’s head. As the bodyguard opened the door an explosion of dark blood spread all over the interior of the car followed by a loud bang from the 7.62 caliber rifle. The bullet entered the left side of Lopotev’s head, killing him instantly. The Svobodnik whispered: “Remember Mirco” After the events, we were immediately put into worldwide spotlight as terrorist organisation by the puppet government and the Russian Federation. Our plan, our mission directly led to Russian invasion. Irony… we heavily contributed to the doom of our once proud nation. After a few skirmishes, we were forced to go into hiding for well over a year. In the shadows, our hearts bleed as we observed the Russian Federation march into the country and putting their new puppet, Ivan Bernarus, as the spearhead of the nation. During the period we were hiding, we observed and took notes. We documented the movements of all Russian military troops we could find. But there were no attacks from our side. The last attack was a complete disaster resulting in many losses. After one and a half year of occupation from the Russian forces within Chernarus a Referendum was held. The choice was whether to join the Russian Federation, or not. The result of the “vote” was unanimously yes. This hit us hard, but we had to come up with a new plan. A grand plan. The plans were finalized in late 2018, and was a two year plan to overthrow the new government by promoting and reinstating a true Chernarussian leader, and to throw out the Russian Federation. To accomplish this we started a two year long recruitment process, along with hardcore guerilla training of personnel, as well as restarting the flyer distribution. The Liberation Front also went on smaller guerilla missions, continued surveillance and taking notes of important Russian figures in the country. In late 2018 Zeroislav Xizovich, Stas Boyko, Felix Rubensic and Dr. James “Sumo” Maseksky was leading a mission to take out a Russian outpost near the border north of Novaya Petrovka. The goal was to eliminate guards and destroy significant military cache. The mission was a miserable failure. The guards at the outpost were well aware and prepared for the incoming attack. Majority of the Liberation Front attack squad was killed. Xizovich, Rubensic, Boyko and Maseksky were arrested and sent to Moscow to serve a life sentence filled with torture aimed at breaking their spirits to reveal the names and locations of all the operators within the Liberation Front. The four of them has never been heard from since or shown signs of life. The Liberation Front had lost four of its leaders, along with 28 good soldiers that day. We were devastated by the loss, and the group decided to pull back into hiding for the unforeseeable future. In 2019 there were early signs of an outbreak coming. The flu that was controlled in the fall of 2018 seemed to come back stronger than ever before, seemingly in a mutated form. This outbreak was much stronger than ever before, and spread rapidly. The Liberation Front decided to continue laying low as the people of Chernarus were vaccinated with a new vaccine developed for the virus. None of us received this vaccine. The group had almost disassembled for the time being, only the highest ranking officers kept in touch with each other. In early 2020 the outbreak calmed a bit, and the Liberation Front came back together to start working again. We continued the same work as we had previously done and the plan to rid the land of the Russians were still in full effect. Due to the outbreak causing people to be more cautious and less outgoing, we had an opportunity to work more publicly without being exposed. This enabled us to gather even more intel and greater details than ever before. When the infection picked up even further, and quarantine zones were set up, our focus had to change. The battle against the Russian scum had become more of a second priority, as the safety of ourselves and the loyal people in Chernarus became of greater importance. In the spring of the year 2020, the outbreak became fatal. The country, society, and everything we knew had fallen to the deadly and contagious infection. The Front was in shock and awe at what happened, yet they had no choice but to stay focused on the already existing plans for the time being. The infection and the chaos opened a new door of opportunity for the cause. The government and their armies were focusing on creating quarantine zones, securing areas from the infected and transporting potentially infected civilians. While the Russians were overwhelmed with the infection at hand, the Liberation Front managed to seize strategic military and logistical assets. The enemy was in disarray, which made killing them an easier task. Each raid put a new dent in an already crumbling Russian presence. Each skirmish spread the word about the Liberation Front picking up arms and fighting back the oppressors, and their ranks grew quickly. With the infection as an ally, this was the time to strike hard and finally bring the Russians to their knees. Initially, the Front was able to make quick advances. Besides having the support of the local population, the alliance of the RAC and the Russian Forces began to crack under the pressure of the infection. During the summer months a majority of the Russian Forces withdrew from the country to aid with the defense of Moscow, and the fighters of the Liberation Front understood to grasp the opportunity that presented itself. It was at that time, when victory appeared closer than ever, the independence in reach, that the tide turned against them. Whereas the fighters of the Liberation front were able to free the rural areas from their enemy’s control, they had no real answer to the infection themselves, and the morale of the local populace reached a low point. Some of the soldiers were involved in unfortunate events which lead to a further decline in public support. The Front had to pull back and form a makeshift location at Lopatino castle when the RAC managed to ally with various local forces, most of them foreigners who had managed to abuse the situation of the country for their own enrichment. On the darkest day for the fighters of the cause, the long standing Major and founding member of the Liberation Front, Dr. Dimitri Stepánov, was executed at the hands of the RAC leadership. This was a devastating loss to the bratri and sestri of the Liberation Front, but no reason to cease fighting for their cause. Under the lead of Dr. Dimitri Stepánov’s son Boris Stepánov, they began to hunt down every collaborator to the RAC still remaining in the Oblast. A few weeks after they had suffered their biggest defeat, they were able to drag their enemies commander into the woods, where he was held accountable for his crimes against the Chernarussian people. With that, the Liberation Front had effectively ended the Russian rule over the Oblast of South Zagoria. However, news from the capital were concerning. Novigrad – or Lopotevgrad, the disgraceful name it was given by the Russians – was still a stronghold of the government forces. Word of a Russian terror regime in the Quarantine Zones, where Chernarussian civilians were systematically displaced and oppressed, left the group no choice but to return to the capital. Their plan was to focus all forces on Novigrad and deal one ultimate finishing blow to the Russian regime. However, the oppressors had deeply entrenched themselves in Novigrad, and a lengthy siege ensued. While the fighters of the front were able to liberate a great part of the city, the government forces continued to control the Quarantine Zone. With dwindling supplies and a quickly approaching gnarly Chernarussian winter, the advances stalled. As one last resort to secure a decisive victory, they decided to directly attack the Quarantine Zone. The walls were breached with explosives and one last battle was fought. It ended with a total defeat for everyone. Most of the Quarantine Zone population had already died from the shelling or the hardships of the last months when it was ultimately overrun by infected. Moscows reign in Chernarus had finally ended, yet at what price? The capital, Novigrad, was lost. It was a fate the city shared with many others around the globe. Novigrad going dark was almost like a reflection of the old world, of civilization as we knew it, ceasing to exist. The big cities no longer had a future, and if there was a chance of survival for the Chernarussian people, it would be in the rural areas, the backcountry. The brave men and women of the Liberation Front, who had sworn to protect and free their country and fellow Chernarussians, knew this. They knew that they were now the last line of defence between their people and total annihilation. But they were hopeful, too. Hopeful that there was a future for their people, a free people. So, almost exactly five years after that fateful shot was fired at the Northern premise of the city of Zelenogorsk, the bratri and sestri of the Chernarus Liberation Front returned to South Zagoria… returned home. ---------------------------------------------- Rid the country of the infection [ONGOING] Assist citizens in fighting the infected [ONGOING] Combat lawless individuals [ONGOING] Integrate civillians into the Chernarussian culture and principles [ONGOING] Find a source that can supply us with equipment [Day 250] Build a network of informants [Day 250] Identify safe locations for meeting outsiders [Day 250] Find and capture Viktor Petrov [Day 275] Rally the people to fight the Russian oppression [Day 275] Get in touch with any medical staff still present in Chernarus, and assist them [Day 300] Root out any remaining RAC and RF forces [Day 325] Set up a Chernarussian government to rule the Republic [Day 340] Weed out illegal drug activites in the region [Day 350] Find out what the secret NBC men wants, and drive them out of the country [Day 350] Figure out what Directive Zero means [Day 350] Find Katka Stepánov [Day 400] Find a team of scientists who can help us make a cure for the infection [Day 400] OOC Goals: Assist in developing and furthering the server lore Provide realistic, enjoyable and meaningful hostile interactions/roleplay Introduce players not familiar with nationalistic roleplay to how it works Display internal struggle for our characters that are xenophobic and nationalistic, but are forced work with everyone to reach our ultimate goal of getting the infection out of our beloved country.
