Tanning and leather crafting

Spray paint
Graffiti. Tag territory. Paint cars. Clothing.

Car horns

Volatile infected. Add to the confusion if we decide to start without infected. They then increase exponentially come infection.

Rework clothes that combat bad weather - remove reliance for hot meat in pants and jackets.
Rain coats, Gorka outfits, rain pants?/re-texture "hiking pants", poncho (not the edge lord type)

More non lethal variants to ammo types. Encourage RP disallowing immediate, overt, hostilities.

Contagious infection for staff only/Playable infected for staff only.

These are merely suggestions, but I hope even a handful of these ideas can be added come LW.
With the ability to control weapon spawns among other modding capabilities, this LW looks to be unique in ways we haven't seen implemented.

Car horn and leather look cool, pretty sure the devs are working on spray painting atm

I can live without the "spray paint" addon.. painting a gun like that is something CS:GO can keep to itself..

"Tanning and crafting" would be awesome to come back..

"Car horns" I am mixed on.. I can just see people being absolute RichardHeads with them by holding them down when people are trying to talk.. or just using them to drag infected to hotspots etc etc..

"Rework on clothes".. YES ! as much I love stuffing meat down my pants to impress the people around me.. I find its a bit silly to have to do so..

"ammo types" not sure how many others could be added.. Bean bags are basically the same as rubber bullets..

"Contagious infection" all for this if its done right..

I'm all for adding small, non invasive rp & lore oriented mods into the server, but the fact of the matter right now is with the current modlist the game is barely stable as is, much anything more and the server's gonna be crashing every hour or people will continuosly be getting kicked or crashed out.

I love the idea of leather crafting but it has to be done well for it to not crash everything.

Paintit will just add a batch of the same items with different skins to the loot table, and frankly with the amount of weapon and clothing skins we have now it's not necessary.

Honestly I do miss the days of a waterproof gorka jacket, so I'd like for that mod to be in, especially with the amount of rain we have currently.

Non lethal ammo is cool again but i'm gonna be honest I've only ever seen the rubber shotgun slugs be used for intragroup bantering around, I doubt it would be used if it were implemented.

As for contagious infections or infected, well whats honestly the point when admin tools already do the job.

If these mods don't cause any performance issues, then I have no issue with them being implemented.

I'm up for the volatile infected, it'll bring something new to the game. Tanning and leather crafting sounds like a good idea aswell.
I'm not really a fan of the graffiti though. I wouldn't mind the territory tags though.

I remember the leather stuff back in .62  and let me tell you- if it's anything like that. That's a fat stinky no for me lmao. I just think the leather looks.. silly y'know?

As for spray paint.... +1. Again, if its like  back in .62 with the green/black/mix. No pink AK's please.

Clothes rework 100% +1. Tired of being forced to carry steaks to not fucking die.

As per the infected part.. idk.. it'd be weird that longer into the infection there'd be MORE zombies.. you'd think that- longer you go on, less there are.. idk. That's a tricky one  but +1 for staff doing some sort of infected event that's not just spawning zombies ontop of people.

I think it would be nice to diversify the civilian clothing as well as work on waterproofing and temperature protection, I would be a lot more okay with constant rain if my character didn’t start freezing within 3 minutes while wearing a water resistant set of clothing. Also, Cali’s suggestion involving all those military outfits would also diversify the military clothing, which all around would lead to people not looking exactly the same

I want to highlight those aspects before they possibly get lost in debates over equipment.

The lore wipe (LW) offers us a unique starting chance or scenario we likely may not have again for years to come or maybe never again. So before we start more or less like last time imagine a somewhat different start or starting conditions please. One time chance. Maybe actually lower or disable infected and certain loot (maybe) where the server is up a week or so in some sort of starting phase for those who want it to develop characters and the like before it goes fully live or enters the conditions we know.

You could call it prologue phase where you can have different lore factions set up or prepare for the storm already once the infection is known or broke out.

I reckon a "Chernarus/Livonia life" approach for a week or so before infection breaks out might be interesting on paper too, but not so feasible given the lack of interaction options wiht the maps we have not to mention they already look apocalyptic anyway, but that also would have been a funny scenario on paper if you ask me. Develop some chars before infection breaks out.

TLDR: Consider a prologue phase with different starting conditions to loosely simulate worsening outbreak. Have lore factions set up a bit earlier maybe or boost them initially with stuff or bases.

Spray painting is being worked on in-house. Don’t worry nothing too crazy CSGO looking but they are decent.

As for the other 2 mods we can look into them and see how they are.

Spray paint to mark walls and such, sure, spray paint for MLG Call of the Battlefield 6 Siege gun colors with stupid patterns, fuck no.

+1 On spraypainting to mark territories, maybe even painting guns a solid black or green such as with the base game. I personally like having all of my equipment matching, so having a black mosin again would be wonderful.

+100 on the Leather Tanning/craftable clothing mod. Honestly it gave so much more meaning to roleplaying a hunter, particularly if you're wearing clothing made from the animals you hunt. I would absolutely love to see that, and I believe many other members of the community would too.

Not too much of an opinion on volatile infected either way.

Car horns would be really cool, but I can guarantee you people are going to go around trolling with them. 50/50 with me.

Allowing staff to play as infected? Eh, not really a fan of. The game is buggy enough as is without admins mucking about as infected.

I would love to see more non-lethal variants of ammunition personally. They have rubber bullets on Dayz Underground and I really feel like it offers so many more options than just shotguns. I feel as if allowing people to use an automatic with rubber bullets, even if it's just an SMG, will lead to people capturing others and generating more RP for people who choose not to comply.

Finally, I would love to see waterproof clothing actually having an impact in the game. It's incredibly unrealistic to have the same pieces of ~100 Celsius meat in your pants for days on end just to be able to survive without making a campfire every five seconds and never being able to travel anywhere. While this can be useful for generating campfire roleplay in a populated area, if a majority of the server is in Zelenogorsk and we have someone in Kamishovo by themselves? No point in them waiting anywhere between 5 minutes to an hour before they're able to travel without stuffing meat in their pants.

I'm all for the car horn, as long as it can be changed to a normal sound, rather than the one it shows on the workshop page. It would be a cool addition to the cars and ofcourse, I could honk my way when driving to the moon.

As for the leather crafting, I know people want it back, and until Bohemia decides to re add it, I say why not have it. It provides a layer of crafting for people and gives them something to do.

As for the sprays, it's coming soon, hopefully we also get that Asiimov skinset ?

The leather one I wouldn't mind, I personally doubt I'll be using it but I can see many people doing so. The horn mod is ok, but I feel like adding a whole mod just for horns is a bit unnecessary. As for the paint that is a -1, I'd like the camo once, but the rest just remind me of CS:GO.

I'd personally love some more civilian guns and craftable melee weapons to give off the apocalyptic vibe.

I’m surprised that the entire rain protection hasn’t been fixed yet. You would think that would be high on the list of fixes to include in the mod.

The leather crafting mod would be pretty cool for hunter characters and alike, and the horn mod would be pretty nice for RP and tactics again the infected considering the horn attracts them as shown in the mod page. As for the spray paint mod as stated by other community members its being worked on by our own devs. Anyway totally +1 for leather crafting and the car horn mod.

I'd like to see these changes implemented. However, I don't really mind the current situation with the weather too much so I can take it or leave it to be honest. But new things are always great!
Mostly I want to see what exactly changes with the coming update that will also bring in MoreDoors.

I support the idea of re-introducing leather-working and the additional items the external mod provides! +1

I do not support the idea of introducing spray-painting, unless it's strictly earth colors, as it was once in alpha. Black & Green, perhaps Brown & Biege too. -1

I support the idea of car horns. I can't tell you how many times I've wanted to honk to get people to move outta my way as I pull up to a settlement to park. +1

Just about every features introduced in these mods, would fall into scope of ability that could be implemented by our very own DayZRP dev team. I'm not a fan of external mods, unless it brings about significant/special content that can not be reproduced easily.

Big +1 on the Leather Working. It will give depth the characters and allow a side business of being a tailor...

since the Spray Paint is being Worked on in house, I wont comment on it as I trust the Dev Team to be sensible on it's application and the designs/patterns you can do.

+1 on the car horn. Would be fun for RP or Tactics.

The others I cannot comment on, but hiking pants to match the hiking jacket would be awesome!
